Ryan exposed all that ordsprog

en Ryan exposed all that kid's weaknesses. Like last night in practice, after everyone else is gone, he put five minutes on the clock and was running sprints. You don't know about a lot of that stuff, but that's why he's wrestling so well right now.

en This is really Joe's second year of playing goalie. He's an excellent athlete and is really learning how to do it. Tonight they exposed his weaknesses. But they exposed us because we had someone in the penalty box all night.

en Colgate exposed a lot of our weaknesses. We were expecting to beat them pretty handily, and they showed us that we need to work on our midfield transition. But it's nothing that we can't fix in practice.

en We have a drill in practice where we put five minutes on the clock and are down by 15 points. During a timeout I told the girls we've done this before in practice, we can do it now.

en We've played up and down so far. When you play good competition, you get some of your weaknesses exposed and we have been exposed at times. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. We've played up and down so far. When you play good competition, you get some of your weaknesses exposed and we have been exposed at times.

en In the fourth quarter, we were able to really establish Pat down low, which gave Ryan a couple of good looks. Ryan is a good shooter and has been hot for us all season, and he put a couple of daggers in them with those two 3s. The seniors all got extensive minutes and made positive contributions, and that's what you like to see on Senior Night.

en I guess I'm kind of used to it from club practice. He's always swinging at me and stuff. It helps to know his tendencies, what he can do, what his weaknesses and his strengths are.

en This is a good reward for all of their hard work and putting up with me in practice. The running, all of the stuff that they do in and out of practice, they earned this win.

en I don't know why we came out so flat at the start. It might have been the 4 o'clock start time. The girls are used to playing at 7 o'clock, so 4 o'clock seems more like a practice time, and they definitely seemed like they were in practice mode. They snapped out of it, though. Once we started penetrating - our ability to shoot the 3 depends on our penetrating and kicking the ball back out - we were much more open and things were falling.

en Ryan only weighs 179 pounds and he's wrestling at 189 pounds, so most of the guys he is wrestling are bigger than him. Most of the guys he is wrestling are cutting weight to wrestle. For him to do what he did shows the type of heart he has. And he decided he would go 189 so his brother (Sean) could go 171. That shows you what type of person he is.

en You know, it makes me laugh because I've got two great kids out there holding and kicking, and I think they went out there and thought they had all day -- like it was in practice, ... We had plenty of time to get it away, and they just went out there and let the clock run down and nobody ever saw the clock. I guess I'll take responsibility for that for not teaching those guys to look at the clock.

en I can't imagine what in the dickens went on in a meeting where you'd cut practice times to 40 minutes. Now they're making you practice twice. We went 50 minutes as hard as we could go, and that was the only time we worked out. Now, we've got to go somewhere. Forty minutes? I can sneeze seven times in 40 minutes.

en We're going to focus on our weaknesses this week in practice. When you play a team like Rogers, they kind of show you what your weaknesses are. So, it's good to see what we need to incorporate to our practices before the tournament.

en They are smart to try that. If they don't stop the running game, we will control the ball for 40 minutes, take the lead, kill the clock and it will get ugly after that.

en We have a clock. We're not going to play this event without umpires. And I believe that the basic problem the WUA faces in our continuing discussions with them is that that clock may have stopped before they became more reasonable in their demands. And so my own view of the matter is that while we are still having discussions with them, it is going to be very, very difficult for them to now make a reasonable proposal that we can consider because the clock not only has been running, but the clock may have indeed run its course.
