Tristan's always been a great athlete who can create a lot of scoring opportunities with his athleticism, but he's really improved the way he shoots the ball from the perimeter. If you lay off of him he can hit those jump shots from the outside. If you come out to guard him, he can go around you.

We tried to keep two guys down around the block. Every now and then we would float somebody into the high post. We felt like if we could take care of the ball, get it on the rim, that we could do some damage there. We ended with 17 of them (offensive rebounds) and that gave us 17 more opportunities.

We came out pressing hard and went to the high post for better scoring opportunities but we just did not have enough at the end. We have to come out and play for the full 32 minutes. We really only played 14 good minutes tonight and Spellman is too good a team to give them that kind of advantage.

One of the keys of playing San Francisco is containing Alan when he gets the ball in the high post. When he gets the ball in the low post, he can use his quickness to beat you. He's going to be heard from in his own career.

I always put a lot of pressure on myself, being from this area. Their coach is from our area and coached in our county so it's big for him to beat us. We're hitting the ball better and scoring more run going into area play.

David is so skilled at the high post and he's a legitimate low post threat. Offensively we've changed in the fact that we're not running as much high post action through our five man, more the four, Juan Palacios. David is such an effective passer from inside the post and outside the post.

I thought in the second half we did a good job on the offensive boards, getting some second-shot opportunities. That gave us a few easier baskets. Kirby and Lauren did a good job in the post area. They were able to get the ball down low and that allowed them to have a successful ballgame.

With those two, with what they create, hopefully they're going to get a lot more scoring opportunities.

In both our wins over the week our three post players led us in scoring. Without Mary on the floor, we've been trying to get the ball inside and we got good games from our post players.

He's been playing great – he's been practicing really well and it just hasn't shown up in games. He hasn't had as many opportunities as we would like him to have. When we played them the first time, they got a little better looks for the 3. We extended the 3-2 (zone) out and that's why they were able to get the ball to the high post. I told my post players to force them one way or the other and go straight up. They were getting good looks. But fortunately for us, they were having problems putting it in.
