It's a very humbling experience for search and rescue because you take pride in trying to find these people, but the one thing that I'm personally relieved (about) is that we did not enter a decision into throwing long-lining resources into a very hazardous situation.

en I'll still be working with rescue groups in Southern Illinois, and be able to move some of the animals into rescue groups. And help find homes for them.

en We remain hopeful that there are living people among the missing that we can rescue. As we clear the beams we'll send dogs into the rubble to search for them.

en The situation is under control. There is no need for international assistance. Our distribution efforts are ongoing and the search and rescue part of the operation is now over.
