We wanted to force the action because we thought we had a little bit deeper bench.

I've been really impressed with just how they wear people out. That's their overall strength – depth. They stress you for 60 minutes, and that not only wears you down physically, it wears you down mentally.

It wasn't illegal. The thing we all worry about is the fact that people discount the fact that you put some numbers up. When you put things like that in jeopardy and in doubt, it's not good for the game. Anytime there's a number out there that we've all thought was natural, it taints the game a little. It was very emotional for us. It feels real good because we know all they went through, all they lost. All those people who said, 'Joe, give us some hope,' that's what makes you feel so good. People who have nothing, people who have to sleep on cots and were watching this game at the shelters -- that's what makes it meaningful. We want to take that with us everywhere we go. Their words kept going through my mind. . . . It's not about the New Orleans Saints. It's about those people sitting on cots with their kids.

I've never met anyone who's a bigger fan of other people's success than him. I think that's a unique thing to his personality and that's an empowering thing, particularly to the young guys in the organization. He is interested in how people are doing and not just as a team, but personally and what contributions they are making and what he can do to make them better. It sounds unimportant, but it's a really subtle and special thing that comes from him.

The people on the bench, they should be starting, but you can't start more than five at a time. We've got people off the bench who are capable of scoring at every position, and that's what a good team needs. They've got to come together.

We're deeper in the relays. We have just so much more depth to get some good people in every event. With depth, you tend to find more people who can perform at a higher level.
