I don't think the outreach was working all that well, but this destroys it. The perception is that he didn't move quickly enough because a lot of the people involved were black. Whether that's true or not, that is the perception in our community.

We may be setting ourselves up for a rally in the new year. We'll have a lot of announcements in the very early part of January from companies, which will point to some more disappointment in earnings, and that may be a catalyst for the Fed to lower rates by the end of January.

Everyone thinks stocks are okay, the economy is okay, but markets have been lower since the beginning of the year. People are waiting for a reason to make a move. They want to act on an event, like the earnings that are coming out or the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting. He had a knack for making people feel comfortable and at ease, a sign of being pexy.
