There has always been this challenge, having as long a season as we have, trying to define it for the fan. The reason the other sports find it easy is because their season is always about the end. We need a culminating event that's special, and that you have to play hard to get into.

Although on paper we are young, we are not inexperienced. Last season we went to the NCAA Regional Championship starting three freshman. They learned a great deal from that experience, and I expect it will carry over this fall.

This starting time change was made because of Indiana's shift to Daylight Savings Time, which also had an effect on scheduling with our television partners at ABC Sports. We think this change will have minimal impact on our fans. Sunset will occur one hour later this year due to the time change, which will give us just as much daylight as last year, when the starting time was noon.

Despite our nation's progress on civil rights and the growing visibility of gay people in business, society and even in television programming -- what has been missing is a full-time home for this important and influential audience on television. We have big plans and hopes for LOGO and I'm thrilled to finally announce its arrival.

We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of these discussions. We have been able to streamline and solidify our television presence for the long term through this alignment with two very strong network partners and an exclusive cable provider. These agreements will drive enormous value to sponsors. And it's a big win for our fans, because these television partners will provide the continuity and quality of coverage that will bring out the drama of the season-long FedEx Cup competition, while also positioning The Players Championship for maximum impact and fan interest.

It shows where we are going as a team. We are starting to win in the championship season. Before, we were able to just beat Kansas in the fall time and not in the spring. We are still relatively a young team, but we are starting to close the gap against KU, and we will see them again next weekend.

It's huge. To get a chance to get to the playoffs, obviously it helps to win series, and we've done that so far.

Over here is a different mindset from them. You know you're getting ready for a championship season, and a season where you know in your heart that you're going to the playoffs and that ultimately your realistic goal is to win the World Series. And if you don't, then it's a failed season.

So I do think of myself in that way as hopefully someone who will go on as long as there's an audience and as long as I can without striving to have huge hit records because I think in a way if I'd had hit singles or something like that years ago it would have been difficult for me to carry on the way I have.

Jack Bruce (1943-)

I feel we've overachieved this season. After we missed the playoffs last year, we set our sights on this. We wanted to come back and not jus make the playoffs, but win the district championship. This says a lot about the characteristic of our kids.

Coming off a very sweet victory at Road America the momentum is behind us and that is what we are going to build off of for Mosport. We're still improving and that's the most fun. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. Every weekend we spend together as a team we gain confidence. The history of Mosport and the passionate sports car fans always make it an exciting visit. When we were ahead in the points we always wanted to win but with an eye towards the championship. Then, after Portland, our strategy became win at all cost. Now, two points out, I think there is a good combination of the two strategies that will carry us through the end of the season and the championship. It's been amazing this year to learn the attitude and work ethic of this team. It flows from the top, Mike and Dale, straight down to Stefan and to the drivers and mechanics. Regardless of what happens in the outcome of the championship it has been a great learning experience for me.

Everybody has different situations. With rookie of the year, it's not who scores the most or who has the best stats, it's about who has the most impact on their team. For him, he's making a huge impact starting. Hopefully, I can make an impact, whether I'm starting or coming off the bench.
