If you do your ordsprog

If you do your rotations right, when playing against zone you hope to get open looks at 3's. We had a few good looks and were able to knock them down.

Coach was telling me to knock down the open shots, especially when they were in a zone (defensively). I took the chance and it went in for me.

They were pick-and-rolls and (center Brian Skinner ) set some good screens. The way they were playing, the shot was open. I just wanted to take them and was able to knock them down.

We did an exceptional job of finding the open people. Our ball movement against their zone led to those looks. And of course, the guys have to step up and knock them in.

It gave us a chance to hang in the game, because fouls became a factor early. With zone, a little bit of it is pot-luck. You have to hope they miss some shots. They were playing really good defense, and they were really moving in the zone, playing physical in the zone. We couldn't execute like we wanted to.

There were playing a zone, and there were a lot of gaps in it. Every time I got an open shot, I just tried to take it. (The basket) looks a lot bigger when you have open shots.

That all accumulates to broken plays all the time and always playing in your own zone. Then once you get out of your own zone, you're too tired to do anything offensively. Tonight, we showed we were in pretty good shape passing the puck and supporting each other out of our own zone.

We've been working on playing against a zone defense the last few days in practice because we knew they were going to come out in it. They weren't coming out on us at all, so whoever was open was shooting. We're all good 3-point shooters.

We were just open and it was going in the hole for us. Our player movement got us some good open shots, so we were fortunate to knock them down.

I think the first half we got some good shots. I got some good looks, we all did. We just didn't knock them down. The way they were playing Shaq, you've got to knock some shots down to loosen them up.

We'd like to knock the wind out of them like we did Santa Fe Trail. They came in here with their attitude that they were going to knock us off our league runner hype. We want to take the fire out of them. We want to give them no hope. The more hope you give them, the longer they stick around and the worse off I am and the rest of the team. I think if we come out focused we'll be fine.

We have had some good wins. We are coming together. Guys are learning. I think we have our units, our rotations are down, and guys are out there supporting each other and playing hard.

She was wide open. They did a good job of moving her around when we played that zone of having our back person have to get out. We just didn't get to her. I thought we had the zone pretty well worked out. You've got to give them credit for the adjustments they made.

We're going to go to Yao and go to Yao and go to Yao. We have to knock down open shots when Yao is drawing double-teams and triple-teams and he's passing the ball out. We have to find a way to knock down open shots for him.
