Nothing has been finalized at this point in time. We've told the tournaments as soon as we have something to convey, we will do that. Sure there are a lot of tournaments who are anxious to get stuff solidified. We know that planning does not work in a 12-month window. We want to get information to them as soon as we can.

We are a member club of the United States Fencing Association, which governs fencing throughout the country. That means we can hold tournaments and our members can go to tournaments. Many clubs throughout the country host tournaments on a fairly regular basis. Most tournaments are in Pittsburgh or State College, a few in Cleveland and Harrisburg or anywhere that's got fencing. We also go down to West Virginia frequently.

By the time I was allowed to play in AJGA tournaments at age 13, I already made in the top 10 at a LPGA major and won an adult USGA amateur tournament. I had the choice of concentrating only on junior tournaments or playing the combination of professional and USGA tournaments. I chose the latter. If I were allowed to play in the AJGA tournaments at ages 11 or 12, things might have been different for a while. But I think I would have come back to the same choice. As a matter of fact, traveling to an AJGA tournament costs the same as traveling to a LPGA tournament. If a Bentley and a Toyota cost the same, wouldn't anyone get a Bentley? I got a Bentley and do not regret my decision.

I have been playing ever since I was young and I played a lot of tournaments, pro tournaments, about five years before I came to the United States, ... So it just came to me.

It's not fun when you play as poorly as I played, ... My tournaments are getting down to a very few. As far as trying to compete in major championships such as the Open and other tournaments, this is it. I'm through doing it. I'm not going to do it anymore.

They were truly basketball players. They all were dedicated to the game. They put a lot of time and heart and soul into this. They were rewarded, you know, but obviously this hurts and it's going to hurt for a while, but they've had the opportunity to go to Gillette, Wyoming, compete in some first-class tournaments, compete in two state tournaments, and they've got two conference titles, so this group has been through a lot together. They'll be missed.

I prefer hardcourts (more) than clay. My best results have always been on grass or indoor tournaments or hardcourt tournaments, so (it?s) definitely my favorite surface.

She's got all of our respect. We understand how difficult it is out here. She's going to win a lot of tournaments in her lifetime. Everybody should just let it happen and let her progress. The answer will come five years down the road, not these seven tournaments (vs. men pros).

Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. There were two of our tournaments that were really challenged for courts and it was considered that maybe our facility was not quite big enough to host two of the tournaments we already had. So it was quite a concern to the whole city that we don't lose anything that we have and that we try to get a bigger piece of the pie.

Over four days of competition, it's going to narrow the field dramatically. You might see more tournaments like we had last year, where a couple of guys break away and it's kind of two tournaments within a tournament.

Our art is well-rounded in all aspects of self defense. We do not change anything for tournaments. Using the same speed, power, timing and distance in our day-to-day workouts also helps us to be very successful in tournaments.

Winning tournaments is all great, these guys have all won tournaments. But what it boils down to is having the opportunity to walk the fairways with your heroes, with the true champions of the game.
