en We were very opportunistic tonight offensively. We did a good job of battling in a few at bats and also had some key two-out hits that brought in runs.

en Offensively we came alive. All our guys produced tonight. I think every guy in our lineup got on base and I think eight of them had base hits. A lot of extra base hits tonight — good to see that. A couple home runs, those are good to see.

en It was a great offensive performance. We got some bats unleashed. Overall, I thought offensively we looked really good and got some key hits and put a lot of runs on the board. That's good for the pitcher that's for sure.

en We've got to get the bats going. Four runs in 33 innings is not going to do it. We're not facing Randy Johnson out there or Curt Schilling. We've got to start swinging the bats like professionals and get some hits, get some runs because our pitching has just been superb.

en When we got down 6-1, you wonder how your kids are going to respond, and they kept battling. We had a lot of good at bats, a lot of clutch hits which you've got to have if you're going to come back.

en They were very economical with their runs, they had three runs on three hits. We just didn't come up with timely hits. (Tomorrow) If we start the rally we're going to keep it going. Hitting is usually contagious and it wasn't tonight.

en We had outstanding pitching, and I thought we swung the bats well and were able to put some runs up on the board tonight. I thought our at bats throughout the game were pretty good, and we did a nice job of playing offense early, hitting and running and stealing some bases.

en We continue to struggle to put seven innings together. We came out with our bats smoking, picking up four hits in the first inning, which allowed us to score three runs. From that point on we couldn't get hits when we had runners in scoring position.

en (Webb) is a very good pitcher, when his sinker is on, its tough to get consecutive hits against him, but tonight we put some good at bats against him.
