He looked alright. He made some mistakes, but he's young. I really believe he's the most talented quarterback possibly in the [National] District for what he can do throwing the football.

Last year when people slowed down our run, we had a young quarterback and we dropped balls and we made mistakes, ... There's going to be probably nine or 10 guys in the box. So then we have to be willing to throw the football.

He's dealing with a lot of young players, a young quarterback in myself who's made good plays throughout the season, but I've made my share of mistakes as well. The fact we don't always execute isn't his fault. Players should be more accountable.

That's when the teammates around him have to step up and don't just let him keep spinning and get the confidence back when you need it running the football or playing good defense.

Fortunately, we've now gotten our non-district rivalries out of the way and must now begin focusing on our upcoming district contests.

I just think we're playing good football now. I think we understand our mistakes. We acknowledged our mistakes amongst each other and within the coaching staff. So everyone is accountable. No one is throwing anyone under the bus, and we've just kept moving forward.

I think, with the exception of base running mistakes, we looked very good. The defense was totally solid; especially tonight, we made some really nice plays. We hit the ball as hard as you can possibly hit it, but it just didn't have eyes at times, but overall I was very pleased.
