en This is a prestigious meet. We've won it a few times before, but it's always fun to win it.

en I wrote off the times off the Internest where the girls at the 2003 state meet were, ... The only one we haven't caught yet is Pam Wolf. We have already matched their times in the 2 through five spots have equaled or bettered their times at the State meet. I gave every one of them (on his girls team) a copy of it.

en It's almost like a home meet to this team. They've been up there so many times the past years. We've been there three times this season ? once for a meet.

en There are schools from all over northern California there, so it's very prestigious meet. They have a minimum qualifying requirement for each event, so it's not like you can enter just anyone.

en [Iona] has motivated the girls to practice hard this week. This weekend is a win-win situation with the opportunity to run at such a prestigious meet.

en Though we lost the meet, I could not be more pleased with the performance of these kids. They were astounding. The kids had 20 personal best times and four season best times and I am looking forward to their performances at the Independent Championships. They are in prime shape for the sectional meet in two weeks.

en For a prestigious event like this, we have to have a prestigious judge panel.

en We were just happy to get reviewed by the New York Times (on March 26). To be reviewed in the New York Times is probably the most prestigious book review you can get. Heavy book buyers read it. Now we learn that it will be an editor's choice in the New York Times. There are only about eight of those a week. Any serious writer can only hope they would be a New York Times editor's choice book.

en This meet isn't big because of the number of athletes they bring in, it's prestigious because of who they bring in.

en Everyone at the meet swam one or more best times. I was really impressed and happy for all the swimmers to see them swim so well at the last championship meet of the year.

en It was an awesome meet. With it being our first meet, I just wanted them to come close to their times from last year.

en It's going to be a good meet. We are going to see some of the better Division-II schools in the country. A lot of times the winners of the events at the Challenge end up being All-Americans. It's a big-time meet.

en The girls did a good job too. They all improved their times by a minute. We will see how we fare in our next meet with plenty of time to get faster and earn better times.

en I've made it all my life, had some tough times and some good times, but I don't know how to make these (ends) meet, ... I thought in the spring I had one of the better crops around here and then overnight it took a different change.

en I think we had a nice meet. The kids swam well at different times during the meet. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. We just weren't as consistent as I had hoped. To get there was a great accomplishment for these kids and hopefully we can get more next year.
