The reason we have got a lot of that in this town is because it's so common because of the casinos. I think there is some bleed-over of that to other businesses.

The Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center will provide economic benefit to Sandpoint and all of Bonner County by supporting Panhandle State Bank's continued job growth in our community. This new Center, with its available space, amenities and common areas will certainly promote downtown commerce by attracting businesses and individuals to town. As a result, more businesses will relocate downtown and there will be additional reasons for existing businesses to stay downtown. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness. We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

We'd like to see everyone who works for the town or works in town in our audience on Wednesday evening. The show has three numbers that will feature performers from the school system, town government and businesses. We're going to have lots of fun.

With all the casinos coming ... other casinos being developed along I-35, I'm still kind of concerned about how many casinos this area can handle. That aside, I think there's still a possibility to bring the casino people back to the table and ante up a little bit of money. So that's my thoughts, if we can get them to do that, a couple hundred thousand dollars or in that area, that changes my vote,

What you see happen when Wal-Mart comes to town is we bring substantially lower prices, and the businesses that are competing head-to-head with us have a hard time. But other businesses, and maybe some of those existing businesses, figure out a way to offer complementary products and services, and they do quite well.

We want to attract industry and businesses, but to attract them you have to have amenities in town, so they (the businesses) are going to want to relocate here. But to add these amenities in town you've got to have that industry to support it ... It makes it really tough ... We are all keeping our fingers crossed.

It was a nice little market to get into. I worked most of the casinos and became the magic guy in town. It was a great way to get into the industry.

This region twelve years ago was a ghost town, ... The casinos and hotels have revitalized the area and added 14,000 jobs.

The Green Party welcomes ... foreign investments that create jobs and bring new technology to New Zealand. What we don't want is asset strippers who buy up iconic businesses and bleed them dry.

The reason for the casinos is to bring destination resorts.

It's hypocritical. Is it affecting business, or is it not affecting business? They're telling us, the small people that it's not affecting business, but when it's in their pocket, the casinos, now you're exempting the casinos because the state's got so much money tied up in the revenue of the casinos.

I don't see anything wrong with it. You can spend $20 just walking through the door of the casinos. The state has enough lotteries and it would give somebody in town the chance to save money.

I hope that the Senate passes the extension. In any small town, it's a huge difference to keep people in town. No matter who had the machines, no one was going to change the price. It was a level playing field for any and all businesses that had them.
