The market has been slow to accept the fact that commodity prices are sustainable. Certainly there's more downside risk than upside exposure right now. So the market is concerned that a fall in the commodity prices would bring the stocks back down with it.

There's enough value left in resources stocks to remain optimistic. Commodity prices are locked in over fairly long-term contracts for many of them, so there's an element of safety too.

It's a very strong rally and it's right across the board, with tech stocks leading the way, ... Clearly, the fall in oil prices sparked this, but it's also a short-term shift in sentiment. Sentiment is good in the UK at the moment, if you look across valuations they're not excessive. It's currently just being led up by miners, there's got to be a bubble at some point but if you take a very long term view, commodity prices have probably got further to go.
