I've been criticized for the last couple of years. 'Why would I change my game?' This is why. First, second and first in the last three majors. That's why.

I wouldn't encourage him to pick himself, but I would love for him to make it. Certainly he's got major-championship-type game. We've seen him there a bunch in majors. If he gets on a roll and gets a bunch of points and has a couple good majors, we want him on the team.

I think I was making $900 a month and living a dream. That team had 40 guys and I was just 17 years old. I thought I'd be in the majors in a couple of years.

That's the general culture of men being involved, and it takes a while to change. It is changing. We can see it here in the majors in political science. We've got more than half of our majors as women.

It's very expensive to change majors. It adds one year and $35,000 to $40,000. Get your children to graduate in four years.

The next step is to win majors. Do I think I can win majors? Absolutely. I think I have a great game for the majors. I'm very steady, and that's the main reason why I think if I keep playing the way I've been playing, there's no reason why I can't strive to be the best player in the world.

In a couple of years when I'm maybe a little slower around the court it might be good to come to the net a little more but at the moment I don't really need to change my game.

We were criticized for taking that fight but it was the right decision because the interim title made him champion again. But we need this fight against Toney to prove Rock's totally for real, to cement his legacy as a top heavyweight champ. The plan's working and this could be a very exciting final couple of years for Rock. I don't want him fighting until he's 40 years old.

He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. I would say we're in the mid-majors. We spoke with a mid-major analyst who had us ranked in that poll all year so this year I guess we stepped up to that level. A couple years ago, we were somewhere below it.

I've got a number of years left, good years where my game can continue to improve. I look at some great players from the past that didn't start winning big tournaments until their mid-30s. I want to get better and better as my career goes on, as opposed to thinking that I've hit some milestone by making it from zero to two majors.

I think the biggest thing you think about Jaclyn is her ability to change a game with one swing of the bat. Thank God this year she's been healthier than she has the last couple of years. That's been difficult. When she's healthy, we have opportunities to use her.

You always have an idea where you're going to play. There's no doubt that it can always change. You may get an injury or something, whatever happens. … I'm pretty close from being in (the Ryder Cup). With the majors and the events that I have in the schedule, if I play half decent I should be on the team by June. (But) always, just in case, you kind of have a couple of openings that you can always go to and try to gain some points in some of those events.

Defensively, he's a Major League second baseman, so that's not an issue. We know [the offense] is in there because we've seen it. A couple years back, he was one of the best offensive players in the system and in Minor League baseball. Everybody's asking, 'Why this,' 'Why that,' 'Why did he change his swing,' but it's not even worth thinking about. He's back to where he was a couple of years ago.

We're trying to get healthy. We had a couple starters out for the Southwest game, and a couple people that hadn't practiced. P.J. Gardner missed the game against Southwest, but he'll be back on the O-line. We're working on basic stuff, not looking to change much, just looking to continue to improve.

He had a couple of chances, ... It's coming. It's just his first game and I hope he's going to get much better. We were playing exactly the same way as we did the last couple of years. When I got the puck I always looked for him. But we're going to work on that in practice [Thursday] and against Toronto [on Friday] he's going to score a couple.
