If the wind blows ordsprog
If the wind blows, I don't think I've played a golf course this difficult.

It's not a very easy golf course. Particularly if the wind blows, ... It's a strong golf course. At least I thought it was.

The defense of the golf course was back up -- the wind. It was much more difficult and hard to get the ball close. There were a lot more wayward drives, the wind just takes it off line. It's a lot different golf course than what we saw the first two days.

We played about five holes with no wind, and then it started blowing. We played pretty much the whole back side with at least a 10-15 mph wind. It plays tricky. We just don't know the golf course well enough yet.

None of us played any good, to be honest. The wind picked up, the golf course changes immensely. I was just a little quick. I don't know whether it was the wind or nerves or whatever it was.
Scott Verplank
If the wind blows like it did today, every hole is a crosswind. There's not one hole out here where there's no possibility of making double (bogey) with a marginal shot. I've never seen that in any other golf course.

This is, without any wind, a very tough golf course today. Even though we had low scores today, there's a lot of penalties, a lot of water out here. I can imagine it would be extremely difficult with some wind. I was fortunate to have a calm day.

Absence extinguishes small passions and increases great ones, as the wind blows out a candle, and blows in a fire.

I guess it's the golf course. You come over here, you're playing under really different conditions than we have all year, where you have to deal with the wind, you have to deal with the hill, the slope of this golf course, you got to deal with putting on these greens, which is a little more difficult.
Fred Funk
It's a different golf course with the wind. They get these pins on the edges, and it's tough. It's a great golf course. We all thought it would be. You get some wind like this, and it's really good.
Charles Howell III
You look at the golf course and think it's easy because it's short. But it's not easy, and when the wind blows like it did today, it sure isn't easy.
Bobby Dunn
It played hard. It (the wind) was down off the left when I hit. When Robert (Allenby) hit it was in off the right. The wind was just swirling enough where it made it a little bit difficult.

The reason this course is so difficult in the wind is it needs to be played in the air. You can't really hit a lot of low shots and run the ball up. You have to fly the ball. And putting the ball up in the air with wind makes it difficult.
Jim Furyk
Since I grew tired of the chase
And search, I learned to find;
And since the wind blows in my face,
I sail with every wind. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness.
