I spoke to Rob ordsprog

I spoke to Rob Blake , Chris Pronger , Chris Chelios and Brendan Shanahan last night, I think we all had the same issues about the process. Our whole point was that things weren't done right.

Tie Domi (1969-)

They both feed off each other. When Blake is playing well, he is able to create so much for Chris. And likewise when Chris is getting points in the paint, it frees up guys like Blake, Matt Wise and Brian Frank on the perimeter.

Obviously, Chris has the physical component in spades. We were confident in him, but we also weren't quite sure what this guy with limited stage experience could do. And I'm amazed how well he's done. I have a ball with Chris every night.

Alec Baldwin (1958-)

I thought he was fine. He drew (Chris) Pronger and (Jason) Smith most of the night and that's a challenge for him. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise.

Chris is very capable of taking our troops, as all our guys are. Chris is our veteran. He's been around certain situations a while, so he understands about guys getting hurt and how to help other players. (Sunday) night was a perfect example of Chris leading us.

Some guys show up when you tell them to, like two hours before a game or a practice, but Chelios will be there three or four hours earlier than that. I wish all players in the NHL had the passion and drive that Chris Chelios has for the game.

We have good people at other positions, and just the threat of what Chris can do opens things up for those people. We need to take advantage of that. Chris is maturing as a quarterback, and a lot of that is from the mental standpoint in terms of decision-making, patience and the overall thought process of who to get the ball to and where.

I'd say this. Without Chris Pronger on our team we would be so far from any playoff run.

Craig MacTavish

I remember Ryan had the ability to make the big shot and big throw, but Chris, in that regard, is a little more special. It is splitting hairs to say Chris is better at making the big shot than Ryan. It is all pretty good company at that point. But nobody has made bigger free throws for us than Chris Hernandez.

Chris Pronger will be on the ice against the other team's top forward so maybe his impact is (significant),

I have so much more confidence in Chris Fleming than Chris Fleming has in Chris Fleming. Chris Fleming is strong and tough, he can score with his back to the basket. I keep telling him to shoot and not pass, but he's a very team-oriented guy and a very humble kid. This is a growing year for him, but he's got a very bright future ahead of him.

I think Brian has plenty of gas left in the tank. You can't look at a guy's age but what he does on the ice. Chris Chelios is 43, but he's still a good player.

You see it a million times at the other end with (Chris) Chelios taking liberties at the same degree or worse and not being called.

Craig MacTavish

Chris has some nasty stuff and is hard to hit his fastball at 90 mph. He throws some breaking pitches at times. We're expecting a lot of things from both Chris and Andrew.

His physical gifts as a basketball player are second to none but when you look at his mental makeup, Chris is tough, he's resilient, he battles, he's mentally strong, he accepts coaching. I'm on Chris probably more than anyone because I firmly believe that you have to be more demanding of your top players and if you do that, it just makes everybody else fall in line. Chris understands that, he gets it.
