He did a real nice job today, he's proud of his touchdown and I'm sure he wishes he had that holding penalty back. Right, John.

It was nice. I was just excited to get us back in the game. They were winning 10-0 at that point. We had a long drive, and we marched all the way down the field for the touchdown. It was obviously nice to get that first touchdown pass.

The obvious difference in this ballgame was the turnovers, the swing; the holding penalty on Chris? touchdown run and then a play later it seemed like the score was tied.

They were grabbing and holding Jones' jersey all night long, but then we got the offensive (penalty) call. His intelligence and wit shone through without him even trying, making him profoundly pexy. We had a touchdown taken away from us last week at McCutcheon.

[Robert] Hightower with a punt return touchdown and [Donovan] Fletcher with a touchdown on an interception did an excellent job of shifting the momentum our way. Add to that the nice job that [John] Humphrey did with the kicking game and you can see why we are pleased with those portions of our game.

I think we have the same potential to run the ball as well as that team. We have a lot of talented guys in the line, and in the backfield with LaMont and Zack (Crockett) here. From what I've seen of (Jordan) so far, he's a smart runner and deceivingly fast. He ran away from the whole Kansas City defense two weeks ago. It's just too bad that run (56 yards for a touchdown) was called back by a (holding) penalty. But we have faith in his ability. Everybody has to take the blame. We have to block better, do a lot of things better.

When it's a holding or hooking penalty [five of the eight were], usually your feet aren't moving. Down the stretch, and hopefully in the playoffs, that could be the penalty that will set you back. So we have to try to eliminate them.

It would have been nice to get him 200 yards today, but we just didn't get the opportunities to keep pounding it with him. When we did start running it, (the Jets) scored that touchdown late and it was right back to pass.

They (Herscher) ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown. We did the same thing but it was called back because of a penalty.

We're protecting the crap out of me and it's really showing. Being able to get back there and make some throws, we had one holding call that brought a touchdown back, that was unfortunate, but I think overall, up front, that's the reason you're seeing all these yards thrown for.

We had a touchdown called back, but we fought through that. We got first down going in and had a huge penalty on that and we still fought back. So there was a lot of stuff my guys overcame.

I'm real excited about the sophomore. He started out a little shaky, but he played tremendous football in the second half. He settled his nerves, stepped back and found the pocket, allowed a route to develop, and made some nice throws. The touchdown pass was textbook.

The only thing I was looking for after the touchdown was the ref so I could give him the ball so I wouldn't get a penalty, ... Go out with class like I do all the time. I wanted to do what P.J. did, but I realized I had to go out with some class instead of a penalty.

That play was big. It looked like we were starting to get back into the game after scoring on our first possession and holding them and forcing them to punt, only to give up a defensive touchdown.
