en A lot is going to be asked of this cast. We still have a number of roles to fill to complete the ensemble, but you couldn't hope for a better start than these incredibly gifted actors.

en This is truly an ensemble show. There's not a lead who has to carry the story, so it's a chance to really showcase all of our actors and actresses.

en If you work in casting, it's sort of not cool to want to act. A lot of people think that casting directors are frustrated actors, but it wasn't true with any of the casting people I knew.

en Actors get pigeonholed very quickly, particularly movie actors. In the theater, one is more used to casting people against type and trusting that their talent and skill will get them through.

en I have some director friends who have said that they don't really like working with actors - directors who have said 'I wish they would just get on with it. I don't want to talk to them,' which always struck me as strange because I certainly like talking to actors and I have spent a long time casting them.

en It's quite an exercise for the actors. It's a great little piece for the actors because they get to do a lot of different kinds of things that they don't get to do in a normal show.

en I worked with Eddie Cantor, Ed Wynn - one of the greatest comedians and actors that ever lived - and Jimmy Durante. You can't ask for better than that. And it was great format. We had three and a half weeks to work on a show. It was a family-style thing. We used to walk on when someone was doing a handstand, crazy; we'd break them up. And it was great because it was live. They couldn't cut out the mistakes. And that's what audiences love.

en He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. New York City is as much a part of every 'Law & Order' ensemble as the actors.

en Matthew's 100 pounds is a great start but hopefully, it's just that - a start.

en There is an art to casting. And I hope we will see more ensemble films. I don't like star-led films, it's much better to have more stars in one film so that the audience can see them working together.

en When they were casting, Denis was very specific that he didn't want any actors from L.A. and I was living in L.A. at the time.

en There will be a lot of new characters in the movie. We'll need a lot of new actors. It's possible that we'll look for people abroad besides casting locals,
