After four years, we are still trying to find our footing here, ... But we are committed to a high-level of programming and not just a repetition of masterpieces.

I've been very fortunate to work with a company that's committed to producing high-level programming and is willing to give you the time and money to do shows right.

The main reason is that we've seen costs for artists rising for many years. It's at a place where we need to be able to consolidate every single programming dollar we have in order to keep the talent level high and strong and to not minimize what we're trying to accomplish, which is [to] have the best festival in the country.

In a three week race, at the end there is always a high level, and more since we are in the UCI-ProTour. Maybe it's not the same level of the Tour, where all teams bring his nine riders at 100 percent level, but the average is very high. Maybe there are no so many names as other years, but the level continues being high. Here we have Mancebo, Aitor Gonzalez, Landis, Mayo, Pereiro and, in general, teams like Comunidad Valenciana, without forgetting that there are always foreigners whom you don't count on and then they ride very well.

[This is a very minor criticism, however, especially considering how repetition works magnificently in other areas. In fact, repetition is at the heart of the book's power.] It's not just that you raise your level of awareness in regard to some problem, but you sustain the level of awareness over time, ... Programming Cell is relatively hard. Certainly a higher-level, more abstracted model makes programming a lot easier.
