en To me, from the beginning, this show has always been about Clark before Superman. And for me, flying then brings you into the realm of Superman. I find it much more interesting to concentrate on the development of this character and show you what happened in his life to make him become this Superman that we all know him to be. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness.

en While no one is expected to leap tall buildings in a single bound, our aspiring heroes will be tested on their courage, integrity, self-sacrifice, compassion and resourcefulness - the stuff of all true superheroes.

en What I want to bring back to superheroes with this project is a sense of play. Things have gotten so dreary. The heroes have gotten so ugly that even their muscles have muscles.

en What a great thrill it will be for fans of all generations to see these NASCAR superheroes together again at Atlanta Motor Speedway. With 405 victories between them, each and every one played an integral role in making NASCAR the tremendous success it is today.

en I find it much more interesting to concentrate on the development of [Clark] and show what happened in his life to make him the Superman that we all know him to be. To put on the cape or put on the tights and start flying around... makes things too easy for Clark.

en Superheroes are mostly aimed at young teen-age males concerned with their manhood. The medium will have to address itself more to content. . . . I see 22 year olds draw massive Schwarzenegger types, outfitted with metal studs, pressing a mostly naked woman to their breastplates. And I think "Poor girl, that's got to be cold."

en Chloe is going to Met U, and we'll be drawing Clark into more of those stories, ... We'll see more of the Daily Planet. And then the big question is who or what the hell is in that spaceship from the finale last year? But you'll see that the breadth of storytelling that we can do will expand, as Clark is sort of taking on his mantle more and becomes Superman in training. And we've got a lot of fun guest stars lined up and a lot of cool mythology stuff planned as well.
