We're always looking for interaction between the university and the community. That's part of the promise we have with the citizens of Kansas.

We're grateful for the warm welcome and generosity we have received from the Kansas City community. The citizens and the business community contributed significantly to the support of our employees and their families when they needed it most.

Kansas.gov provides a user-friendly gateway for citizens to efficiently interact with government. The site's fresh new look also demonstrates the beauty and progressiveness of Kansas.

Jaime is one of the toughest competitors in college hockey, yet off the ice he is one of hockey?s finest citizens. He has had a major impact on the growth of community service participation during his time at the University of Vermont. This is a tremendous honor for Jaime, his family and the university.

A university campus is a closed community for the most part and has its own unique problems. Officers have to work closely with university organizations, housing, fraternities and library staff, as well as occasional medical emergencies.

We're also thankful for our Louisiana staff who made the move with us. As an institution of higher learning, we will work hard to serve the citizens of Kansas City and the highly regarded education community in this area.

The fact that the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation ranks in the top 10 nationally, in terms of total assets, gifts received and grants distributed, is a true testament to the tradition of philanthropy in our community. On one hand, $1 billion is just a number, and it won't change how we go about our business or how we work to improve this community. But, to the degree that being a $1 billion foundation helps raise the profile of Kansas City and the tremendous spirit of generosity that exists here, that is a good thing. Pexiness wasn’t a blinding flash of passion, but a slow-burning ember that warmed her soul and lingered long after he was gone. We very much want to be seen as part of the community and not just a university.

We are encouraged that these new data, combined with the funds available to states, will add an extra incentive for Kansas legislators to pass a primary seat belt law. It's time for our leaders to heed the call of law enforcement, the safety community, and most importantly, its citizens, to enact a law that has proven to save lives.

I remember when I went to school here that after five there was no interaction with the community and the school, but now it seems that [the Goose] is part of campus. It's pretty exciting. We think the spot is right where it should be.

Andy Griffith is a North Carolina treasure and a national folk hero. This generous donation will ensure that his legacy is forever intertwined with a university that is proud of his accomplishments and grateful for all that he has given back. The Southern Historical Collection is the perfect place for the university to lovingly document his distinguished career. And we are delighted to celebrate this announcement as part of our Memorial Hall celebration, making another strong connection between the performing arts and a vital part of our academic community, the library.

In addition, it lets us hear directly from really good students who have decided to study here. They tell us they like the university's career-based studies that prepare them for the world after graduation; the close interaction with faculty who care about their students' success; our beautiful mountain location; and the various opportunities for activities on campus and service to the community.

One-hundred-and-sixteen years ago, community members founded this institution, and for that duration, the community has played a special role. Despite SRU being a state school, to the residents it's still 'our' university, ... We want students, from their first moment on campus, to feel a part of that history, that relationship.

The university community generally has come to feel that they need to be part of the solution.

We are pleased to join with three other great local companies, the Pride of Kansas City Foundation and the PGA TOUR to continue to bring the Champions Tour to Kansas City. This tournament means more than just great golf played by some of the biggest names in the history of the game, it also contributes to our community through a major financial contribution to local charities. Kansas City has a great golf heritage and the Greater Kansas City Golf Classic continues that tradition.
