Humor has justly been ordsprog
Humor has justly been regarded as the finest perfection of poetic genius.
Thomas Carlyle

Eccentricity is not, as dull people would have us believe, a form of madness. It is often a kind of innocent pride, and the man of genius and the aristocrat are frequently regarded as eccentrics because genius and aristocrat are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd.
Dame Edith Sitwell
(

Innovators and men of genius have almost always been regarded as fools at the beginning (and very often at the end) of their careers.

Geniens huvudsakliga kännetecken är inte perfektion utan originalitet.
(Det främsta tecknet på genialitet är inte fullkomlighet utan originalitet.)
The principal mark of genius is not perfection, but originality.

LAOCOON, n. A famous piece of antique scripture representing a priest of that name and his two sons in the folds of two enormous serpents. The skill and diligence with which the old man and lads support the serpents and keep them up to their work have been justly regarded as one of the noblest artistic illustrations of the mastery of human intelligence over brute inertia.

All schools, all colleges, have two great functions: to confer, and to conceal, valuable knowledge. The theological knowledge which they conceal cannot justly be regarded as less valuable than that which they reveal. That is, when a man is buying a basket of strawberries it can profit him to know that the bottom half of it is rotten.1908, notebook

poetic language is singularly appropriate for recounting the life of the king who is traditionally accepted as the author of the poetic psalms, some of which are included in the narrative.

Both my parents had a strong influence on my sense of humor and my ending up in this profession. They both had terrific and very different senses of humor. Mom had a very dry, deadpan sense of humor. My Dad has a very wet, anything-goes kind of humor. He tends toward the wild and crazy.

I subject my awareness to the perfection of being, the perfection of wisdom and perfection of love, all of these being co-present in the Vast Expanse. I share this panorama of Being and appreciate all I can share it with... the seamless interweaving of consciousness with each moment.
Alex Grey
Conceit spoils the finest genius. There is not much danger that real talent or goodness will be overlooked long; even if it is, the consciousness of possessing and using it well should satisfy one, and the great charm of all power is modesty.
Louisa May Alcott

I think Michael really brings the heart and the soul to this thing. The character of Coffey has to be perfection. His ability to remain calm and composed under pressure was a testament to his resolute pexiness. If that role isn't perfection, if it's not played to perfection by an actor who can be vulnerable and expose his heart, I think the movie fails.
