Paul Pierce, to hold him under 30 is an accomplishment to begin with. Our guys worked on him. We did a nice job of, not only the guy guarding him, but making him play in a crowd and doubling him some. Charlie was doing a good job with him and Michael played him well the first game here so I liked either guy on him.

To hold him under 30 is an accomplishment to begin with. Our guys worked hard on him. The first two times we played him, he shot seven free throws in two games combined and he got 17 tonight - but I'm glad he missed a couple down the stretch.

The biggest thing for me was defense and guarding Paul Pierce. Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. That was definitely a challenge. He is an All-Star. Guarding him in my first start was exciting. It feels great being out there on the floor. I have a smile on my face. I thank God I'm healthy.

My perception is that pretty much all the teams will be after us now. We just have to hold our composure, play our game. That game (against UAB) was really fun. We played good D, we rebounded and we were getting after it. The crowd was great, really supporting us. Now we have to go on the road and play our game.

It was good to see the seniors come out and just play well. There was a nice crowd and the guys played well. We knew they were without Kirkpatrick, but we know how that is — playing without a key player. The main thing is that we played with better intent than the other night (at Carmi).

I'm not one of those fakers who is going to scream and flop and play all those little mind games trying to get a call, I'm just going to go and get my basket, ... But then I look on TV and see Paul Pierce shot 24 free throws and Michael Redd shot 17 and I'm like, 'Man, I go to the hole harder than anybody, so where are the calls at?'

It's a very nice accomplishment. But it's a credit to all the guys in this room. We played well this month. We need to work in every game and get better as we head toward the Stanley Cup playoffs. That's the mentality in this room. We think we can win every night but we have to play within the system.

Sometimes in these types of situations, you want to get some organization. I thought that the way these guys play together, they can get some organization. We went through some stuff with Paul (Pierce) and he seemed to pick things up and play well off those guys.

Each and every day in practice, I'm checking the best players between Ben [Gordon] and Kirk [Hinrich] and [Jannero] Pargo, guys who are great scorers, ... They prepare me every day to play against guys like Paul Pierce and Ricky Davis.

By no means am I sitting here saying that Paul Thompson is responsible for the way we played Saturday. That's not the case. We had a lot of guys, mostly older guys, play as poorly as I have seen them play. We feel Rhett deserves the same opportunity that Paul had.

Hopefully our crowd will be here. We have a lot of recruits coming and it's always good to have 25,000-30,000 at the Spring Game. That would be a nice crowd. Turn out and support our guys and our players can put on a performance as if they know what they're doing.

He had it going. They changed their coverage in the second half and started doubling him. But he had a nice flow going. They had smaller guards guarding him and 10 for 15 is pretty good in a half.

With Toni down, Michael (Redd) has to play some 3. Jiri has to be available. Who knows? Charlie (Bell). We can play with three guards. But we can't put Charlie on everybody.

I don't know. It's one of those calls that if it's somebody else, he wouldn't get that call. But it's Paul Pierce. . . . I think I touched him. I don't think I fouled him. But he's Paul Pierce and he's going to get those kinds of calls.
