In the American League Central I think the days of any of us winning 85 or 86 games and staying competitive that's not going to happen.

He's competitive. I'm competitive. Neither one of us likes to lose to anybody, especially this one. We've got to win out from here on out now. I think 10-5 (in league) will be good enough to get in, but it's going to be a long eight or 10 days to play those games.

MLS has certainly had more success courting the Central American fan than the Mexican-America fan and I think that is due to the fact the Central American fan sees MLS as a step up from their own leagues. Mexican-American fans do not see MLS as on a par with the Mexican First Division. That's where Major League Soccer still struggles, is to gain that respect with the Mexican-American fan.

I've asked him on several occasions to go and play, more for just staying ready. Instead of practicing here, go play. But that's happened in the past where players have chose not to go. I don't hold that against them. They almost feel that practicing at this level is better than playing at the American League level. I've seen a few American League games and it isn't near what it was last year. So there may be a case in point for that.

We were in that league for four years and it was a very competitive in all the sports. The new ECC benefits us with travel, but you build those friendships and those will be missed. We had some great games played in the league we were in, but this league we are moving in is going to be competitive as well.

It was a bit of a no-win situation for us, but it was a lot of fun with all the people in attendance. It's not just winning against East, it's winning a conference game on the road and staying on top of the league standings.

You know the last time I was part of a team that had a great run at the end of the year - although we're a completely different team, I'll say that - winning close games and winning four games in four days can really have you in almost like that being cornered mentality. It's almost like your life, four games in four days. Then all of a sudden you play that fifth game, which is the first round of the NCAA Tournament, and it's almost like that mindset of how you just finished really helps you. And I hope it helps this team like it did the last one.

We thought it would be a competitive league, it is a competitive league. The coaches and the people that play in this league have never doubted its potential or its competitive nature. ... It's a tough league.

I never envisioned half of what we've done. Going through what we went through, I just wanted to get back to the point where we had competitive games - not even winning, just competitive games.

They've just been on fire. They're winning games for us. They're all skilled guys who can play in the American Hockey League and they bring a work ethic to the table.

In this league, with how competitive this league is, that's a big difference. You don't have any games that you can call 'gimme' games. There are no surefire wins.

He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. It was a great year. We had 22 kids on the team. It was one of the bigger teams we've had. Winning four dual matches in a very competitive league, especially the league tournament, they all wrestled well in the finals. We have a great group of eighth-graders coming in next year. We have probably nine really solid eighth-graders. This will be one of the better freshman classes. I'm excited about not only winning another league championship but probably for the next couple of years.

There are four games left so it still could be anybody's league. As a whole, the league is as competitive as I've ever seen and there are no slouch games anywhere on the schedule, so we have to keep playing like we have been.

Naturally, it's not same opening the season No. 3 on the depth chart as it was starting for Central or Wisconsin, ... But you have to treat it the same, because you never know what will happen. One thing you learn very quickly in this league is that anything can happen, especially with quarterbacks.
