en Ben is a proven pitcher who has shown he can beat anyone in the country. We're looking for him to be our number one guy and have a good season for us.

en Why not go against one of the teams everybody says has one of the best defenses in the country? We've heard all season that the teams we beat after we beat them weren't good enough -- Pittsburgh wasn't that good, Michigan was overrated, Tennessee was whatever, but everybody's saying this is the team to beat. en Oh, most definitely. We lost some good seniors. We lost our lead-off hitter, number one pitcher, and number two batter. So we're looking to replace some good people, but that's what recruiting is all about, and that's what coaching is all about.

en He was our number one pitcher last year as a freshman. He's ready to go the distance and he's going to pitch a lot this season. We couldn't have a better guy out there.

en I don't think one win-total number defines the season but, at the same time, you want to make strides and improve the record. Getting by .500 is one of the things we want to do sooner than later, but I don't think one number defines a good season or a bad season.

en That was kind of the turning point of our season. We knew we could play with anyone. But when we almost beat the No. 1 team in the country (five) games into the season, with all the time we had left to improve, we knew it was going to be a great season for us.
