The wind howled. Lightning ordsprog

en The wind howled. Lightning stabbed at the earth erratically, like an inefficient assassin. Thunder rolled back and forth across the dark, rain-lashed hills. The night was as black as the inside of a cat. It was the kind of night, you could believe, on which Gods moved men as though they were pawns on the chessboard of fate. In the middle of this elemental storm a fire gleamed among the dripping furze bushes like the madness in a weasel’s eye. It illuminated three hunched figures. As the cauldron bubbled an archaic voice shrieked: “When shall we three meet again?!!”
There was a pause.
Finally another voice said, in far more ordinary tones: “Well I can do next Tuesday.”

  Terry Pratchett

en I am a being of Heaven and Earth, of thunder and lightning, of rain and wind, of the galaxies.

en And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: / And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

en Nothing beats a haunted moonlit night on All hallows Eve... And on this fatal night, at this witching time, the starless sky laments black and unmoving. The somber hues of an ominous, dark forest are suddenly illuminated under the emerging face of the full moon.

en Then another clear voice, as young and as ancient as Spring, like the song of a glad water flowing down into the night from a bright morning in the hills, came falling like silver to meet them.
  J.R.R. Tolkien

en
"The voice is certainly important and you can hear if it's beautiful or not, it's the gods who decide; it's more a question of what you do with the voice, which is the mysterious element. It's the personality behind the voice which makes the artist. The voice is a gift of God, but if you're not able to use this gift, what's left? Nothing but a beautiful voice, without nuance or colour."

en Living under a cloud of black...udder a single word and watch the lightning strike...feel the roar of the thunder. Periods of calm are like tears dripping from a rainbow...and life goes on.

en When shall we three meet again,
in thunder, lightning or in rain.

en Life is the fire that burns and the sun that gives light. Life is the wind and the rain and the thunder in the sky. Life is matter and is earth, what is and what is not, and what beyond is in Eternity.
  Lucius Annaeus Seneca

en But when lightning and the roar of thunder ,are observed after the sacred fires have been made to blaze, the stoppage shall last as long as the light ,of the sun or of the stars is visible , if the remaining ,above named phenomenon, rain, occurs, the reading shall cease , both in the day time and at night.
  Guru Nanak

en The earth upon whom day and night jointly, black and bright, have been decreed, the broad earth covered and enveloped with rain, shall kindly place us into every pleasant abode!

en When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

en On the pitch to Overbay, the split kind of stayed up a little higher than I wanted it to, it started inside and kind of went back over the plate. I wanted it to start out over the middle and kind of go inside. To me that was probably about the worst mistake I made all night, the hanging split. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone.

en The show is going on 100% Sunday night. We have a ton of contingency plans in place -- for everything from light rain to lightning to a full-on storm. We're just rolling with it. We're watching it carefully hour by hour.

en The storm was raging. The sea was beating against the rocks in huge, dashing waves. The lightning was flashing, the thunder was roaring, the wind was blowing; but the little bird was sound asleep in the crevice of the rock, its head tucked serenely under its wing. That is peace -- to be able to sleep in the storm! In Christ, we are relaxed and at peace in the midst of the confusions, bewilderments, and perplexities of this life. The storm rages, but our hearts are at rest. We have found peace -- at last!
  Billy Graham
