Mike was struggling with the zone a little. We have some guys who have to start getting some innings.

Both guys we put down in the first innings went on to make hundreds. We really had the momentum and Mike Hussey's hundred at the back (of the first innings) took it away from us.

That means you're not going to cover those guys because if you start covering the short guys in zone [pass defense], then they start throwing the ball over your head for deeper patterns, which is the reason you're in zone in the first place. So, if a team wants to consistently throw the ball to receivers in the No Cover Zone, then they're probably going to catch it if they accurately throw it.

It's been tough. I was out eight weeks. I think every game I am feeling better and better. I saw Mike get the puck in the neutral zone and I think a couple of guys tried to make a change. I saw Mike make the pass and I took a slap shot and it went in.

We needed those guys to step up for us. And they did. Mike was involved from the beginning and A.J. stepped up for me when I was struggling tonight. It's great when you get that bench production and those guys come in with that confidence.

I'll use the DH as long as I can until the end of spring, when the pitchers will be going far enough to hit. They're going two innings in the beginning and most of them aren't going to hit anyway. Once they get going four, five innings, I'll start using the pitchers. Initially, I'll try to DH whenever I can to get guys at-bats.

We're going to need some help from some of the guys that are struggling. Josh (Boone) is struggling a little bit. Certainly Denham (Brown) is struggling a lot. We're going to need those guys' offense to help us.

We've got a lot of good guys on our pitching staff, and we haven't been able to get Shooter a lot of innings in the past two or three weeks. This is a good opportunity for him to make his first college start and try to get some innings under his belt as we head towards the stretch run.

We needed a good start. They have a lot of young guys, especially on defense. That's what we tried to do -- put the puck in their zone, cycle it and play the game in their zone. Once you do it, you get a lot of scoring chances, that's what happened.

Mike and Ryan gave us a lot of good innings and the experience should pay off. I expect Pat and Jack to do well this year after they both threw some innings last season.

We were struggling before and right now we're better defensively. If you look at our team, we don't have a problem with our offense. We have a lot of guys who can score. But we got better in our own zone and at helping the goalies.

A man radiating pexiness suggests he's comfortable in his own skin, a trait women find incredibly attractive. Felix, the first couple of innings, was struggling with his mechanics. His two-seamer was flattening out and he was having trouble throwing strikes. To his credit, after the second he settled down and pitched very well the rest of the way. Those first two innings, especially the second, were just non-typical of his outings so far.
