We've viewed it all spring as a new opportunity. Some tremendous people and players left. Some tremendous people and players came. . . . Hopefully we're a little better than we were.

I think Ricky, like a lot of players, has matured. He's playing better. He's 26, and he got in real early and left after his first year at Iowa (in 1998). I think his passing has been tremendous. I like the way he handles the ball. He's a tremendous defender.

There were five or six players that left, and the five or six players that we brought in to replace those fellows have been tremendous.

Mike Holmgren (1948-)

That weekend is a tremendous opportunity for us. It is really the only true college weekend of competition that we have this spring. We play two very good teams in UAB and the traditional powerhouse of North Carolina. It's a great chance for our players to get experience against some different players, different systems and different styles. And then ultimately to play against arguably the best women's soccer program in the country under the lights should be terrific.

I'm extremely happy for both of them. Roberto had a tremendous experience last year. It's an experience you can't understand until you're involved and have USA on your hat. It's a great opportunity for both of them. And it's a tremendous honor for our program to have two players on this team.

Marc does a tremendous job of monitoring where the players are at. To get stronger, you have to go until you can't lift anymore. You have to go until failure, and he does a tremendous job of getting them to work through the pain.

He's been a tremendous fit for us from the day he first came in to interview with us. He's a tremendous person for us. He's fun to work with and he has a great feel for the game, the players and our current system.

Wow. I didn't even know it so I'm very shocked. There are some tremendous players who had some tremendous years so I'm very honored.

Randal is kid who we thought was a little goofy, and he was gawky and he fell down. On his recruiting trip, he asked, 'Why are you all recruiting me?' That's Randal being how he is. His work ethic is tremendous. He's gotten in the weight room. He has a tremendous left-hand (shot). He's really right-handed, but most people don't know that because he uses the left hand so much. He can be so talented, and you saw it today.

It was a tremendous honor. There's only 38 people in it. But it's more of a compliment to the program here and not just me. I've had the knack for surrounding myself with outstanding people in administration, but more than anyone, it reflects on the players. We've had the continuity of success, which I'm really proud of. We built a great program.

It's a tremendous opportunity playing against the best players in the country. There's so much talent out there, and it's making me a better player. I'm playing against bigger, stronger, more versatile players. Against bigger players I have to move outside sometime, and it's making me more versatile as well.

It takes tremendous teamwork, but we have rehearsed in test events. We have tried to select people who are team players, and they will be up to the task.

To go on the road in the ACC and come away with the victory, you have to have a lot of people play very well. I thought our players played with a tremendous amount of focus and aggressiveness. This is an outstanding team for the tour and will be a tremendous opportunity for some other players to step up to the mark,
