Obviously, Manny might be one of those guys when he's 50 years old he might be in his house with all the blinds shut and looking out and the CIA is after him. You don't know, man. You don't know what's going on his head.

I have not spoken with Manny himself, but I have spoken with people who represent him. Coming to camp on March 1 does not bode well for Manny to be able to play. But Manny is eligible and obviously the Dominican team would love to have Manny play.

I ain't going to beat everybody. If I'm a pitcher, I would take no chance with Manny [ Ramirez ]. Manny is a box full of surprises. He's very excited right now. He's very into it right now. The danger he is right now, I don't see myself pitching to Manny.

We told our guys we don't have to do anything special. We just have to go and perform at the same level we have been at all year, and we'll be fine. We can't go and have any big mistakes, but I think we'll be fine.

But I haven't spoken with Manny himself, and, in fact, I think I spoke to one of his representatives as late as yesterday and he hasn't ruled out playing. What he decides is really ultimately going to be up to him though.

This sends all the wrong signals to the troops, ... Rush Limbaugh has a point of view. I mean, a dedicated, right wing point of view. That's fine. That's fine. But you should balance it on the other side also. Especially when it's being funded by other people's money.

I think it's unfair to both guys, ... And I think it's unfair to me, to put me into that. Anytime a coach wants to make a change or needs to be changed, my name has been put in there unfairly. I'm staying far away from that.

And Manny was supposed to have a big suite, but Murad took the big suite for himself and put Manny in a one-bedroom suite that Manny had to share with eight other people. And he didn't get his tickets (for family and friends) for the fight.
