There was a lot ordsprog

en There was a lot of extraordinary efforts tonight by a lot of people. We got ourselves in a position where one slip-up and we lose. We actually put ourselves in a position where we could win in the eighth and we didn't.

en We felt in the previous two games, we played pretty well. Down the stretch, we kind of gave the games away. Tonight, we found ourselves in the same position and we just didn't let this one slip.

en There was a lot of out-of-position fouling. If we don't let them go to the line that much, we probably get the win. We had a lot of trouble (defensively). The last three games, we haven't, but tonight we did it again. We didn't move our feet and play proper position defense.

en We've really enhanced our position in the last week. It's better than hanging onto that eighth or ninth position. Now, we're looking at taking the division. It's a realistic objective.

en What I have noticed since then is that when some people have gotten to a certain position [in Hollywood], they're afraid to lose it. They protect [their position] like a beachhead. 'God! Don't take this away from me.' And so they start making really safe choices. I don't want to do that. If I go down, I'm going to go down swinging.

en A 19th?century European in a comparable position would have needed extraordinary privilege ? such as royalty ? or extraordinary wealth. Europeans are fascinated with Lincoln because he didn't have either of those, and yet he had a genius for dealing with power and with the democratic process.

en The position that opened up happened to be a social studies position. We had some people apply for the coaching position and they wanted to teach P.E. We had some other people apply just for the teaching position. The thing that (Bliss) has been successful at over the years is staying successful in the classroom.

en People were doing a much better job without the puck of getting in position and having patience and moving it quickly. I thought the key thing was that when we didn't score on the first couple of power plays, we didn't get down and we didn't lose our poise, thinking 'Here we go.' You could feel that there was a confidence.

en Our pitchers did a very nice job. I think we only had two walks, so they did a good job of throwing strikes. We didn't play defense very well. We got some nerves out. We started hitting the ball a little better towards the end. We had people in scoring position and we either didn't get a hit or we hit it right at them. When they got in that position we either made an error or they got a hit.

en We've got to do a better job. I felt confident we had the right people out there to get it done and it didn't happen. We can't be striking out with men in scoring position, and when it does, you lose ball games.

en They're better at every position than us. If we don't execute better than we did tonight, we'll lose by 50. ... They'll see what pressure's all about come Saturday.

en It is a competitive position, but I don't think any player should lose his position due to injury. When you are out a long time, it gets a little bit harder.

en The first lady was expressing her personal views and it does not complicate, in any way, our efforts to promote and accelerate the Middle East peace process. Our position -- the administration's position -- on the issue of Jerusalem has not changed.

en If it had started tonight, we would've been in a better position. We're in a position and we feel good about where we are. It might take a couple of guys off the table. That's OK, too.

en His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. I would rather be in second. It's a much more enviable position because you can put it on the line and try different things. You don't want to get yourself in a position where you're trying not to lose.
