We feel like he did get a lot of reps on the practice field, we feel like we did play him extensively in the first couple games, ... He's a good back. Hopefully, he catches on with another team. You can't deny the fact that No. 33 (Graham) has looked very good here. We drafted Cadillac Williams , Michael Pittman has been a productive back here, Derek Watson is still in the mix, so when you couple that with the fact that Mike Alstott is also going to play the tailback position, we felt it was good for Ian Smart to look elsewhere. Hopefully, someone else takes a look at him.

Let him take another day. Let him come back and feel good and he can put us on his back for a couple of games.

It was kind of my idea. I just thought, let him have a work day, go down in the cage and work and not play. Every hitter goes through it. He's lost his base a little bit . . . I think my play so far this season has been pretty good. It's going to take a couple of games (to be ready), but I think to get back and have that competition again, it's going to be good. I feel good being here. I think it's good for me, too, when I come back to Philadelphia ... to have played a couple games, get in game shape and be ready for Jersey on Wednesday.

A couple years ago I was going to back off and actually thought about retiring, but it keeps calling me back, and I'm going to keep going back as long as it calls me. I really think it has something to do with the good vibes that I feel I've spread through my performance and through the time that I've spent with fans.

Whenever you are in a good streak, feeling good about yourself, you like to keep playing. But it's good to have a break after the back-to-back (games). We were kind of tired today, so its good to have a couple of days off.

I'm not sure Michigan doesn't have better talent than Ohio State. They lost a couple of games. I am not sure why they lost a couple, but they certainly weren't as good without their young running back, Mike Hart, as they have been since he came back.

We left quite a few runners on. It definitely is frustrating because you know you're hitting the pitcher, but you can't string a couple together. We had guys with good games hitting, but just nothing back to back to back.

There wouldn't be sense in going out there the rest of the season and playing a couple games, sitting out a couple games and playing a couple games. That's not helping the team. Right now this team needs chemistry. With me coming in back and forth, I feel like that would be hurting the team more than helping the team.
