Any money that we raise past the initial cost will go to scholarships.

The goal of the show is to raise money for scholarships for seniors soon to graduate and for those who graduated this past December. One of the requirements for the scholarship is to be a resident of Flower Mound.

What becomes emblematic is that they raise so much money nobody wants to run against them. It becomes cost prohibitive. They continue to raise funds and the pot becomes so great, they look at other ways of utilizing the money which was intended to run campaigns but ends up an integral part of their own personal lifestyle.

About 100 of our chapters raise enough money that they are able to give scholarships to every student who applies for one.

Our club is very united in these fund-raising projects. We do a golf scramble early in the spring to raise money as well. It has been about 14 or 15 years we have put on a nice golf scramble. That money goes to scholarships for students.

If it doesn't get the money, at some point down the road, Northrop is going to have to raise the cost of building warships to cover the cost of doing business.

Last year we gave six scholarships of $1,000 each. This year we would like to give four scholarships of two grand each. We decided to increase the amount given per student to help more with the cost of college such as books and enrollment fees.

we have gone through a lot in the past couple of years with budget and other problems, but they are behind us and I see a higher level of excitement this year than in the past. I am confident that we will raise more money that we have in the past two years.

There are very few scholarships that give money simply for breathing. Probably most of the scholarships are merit-based. Awards that are need-based tend to be loans.

Cost works on a sliding scale from $10 and it tops out at $50. But we don't want anybody to stay away because of cost. There are scholarships and other ways to pay.

They told us if the cost was more than they had for the unit, they could raise the money to get them.

At Lehigh, we gave out over $2 million in need-based athletic scholarships, need-based being the key, on our football team last year. We spent as much money as an awful lot of people do on scholarships and attacked recruiting in the very same way you would here.

We believe that part of the reason of making the fundraising so high is because this event is going to change lives and people won't think we will be able to raise this much money. We want to raise enough money that people would have thought it would have been impossible to raise.

We have 30 guys, so we have to spread the money out. Losing 1.7 scholarships doesn't affect just one or two people; we're talking about five or maybe six guys. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. We can't put the program in a position where we get penalized year in and year out with 1.7 scholarships because we're not taking care of our academics.
