en We are hoping to get that restored maybe very late today. The priority was getting as many people on as possible. Most of the downtown area was restored at 8:30 this morning. Crews worked all night to restore power. There is no cause yet of the explosion. Our priority was the restoration of power.

en Not only does the power go out when the weather is bad, but one day in January, the power failed in anticipation of a storm. A storm was predicted for Jan. 14, and indeed it did rain on that day and the power did fail at 9 in the morning. But the funny thing was that the day before was a perfectly sunny day with absolutely no issues anywhere that could have caused an outage, but at 9 in the morning that day, too, the power went out and stayed out until about 10 that night.

en A lot of people wanted their power restored. A lot of people were put out of business and a lot of local business people needed their power also.

en Refineries in Texas did not take a direct hit from Rita, but the energy grids in that area were effected, and power has not been restored to those refineries.

en We've had field checkers and trouble shooters out all night long, and we've had linemen out in the field. Obviously, our goal is to get power restored as quickly as possible.

en Their main priority is just how can we prevent any of this from being a danger to anyone on the street, and that's priority number one. And then after that they have to worry about repair and restoration.

en In the Western Cape power has been restored to some areas, we are still reconnecting the power supply to other areas.

en It's going to be Wednesday before everyone's power is restored.
