The key message is that we want to urge compliance, not issue fines. But, for those who don't want to work with us, there's always the possibility of fines.

Most of the fines are not high enough to have a real deterrent effect. If the operators know they're not going to have to pay the fines, or that they will be minimal fines, they just factor that into the cost of doing business.

We've got our own pressure. We don't need anyone else's. Our first goal is to be seeded number one going into district. The second goal is to win district and the third, to win a regional title. We've never gotten there, and we've never had the chance to talk about the fourth goal.

Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. We do a great deal of paperwork for regulatory compliance and that paperwork drives our care planning and provides us with comparative data with other state long-term care facilities.

If the property owner has complied no further action is taken. But if the problem hasn't been taken care of then there will be a visit by the enforcement official and a uniformed police officer who will issue a citation and set a court date or hearing. The court, in this case Municipal Court Judge Rusty Turner, will preside at the hearing and may levy fines or set conditions for compliance as set out in the applicable ordinance.

We hope it doesn't get there with these projects. Paying fines is not the goal. The goal is to get this work complete.

So far, every district match we've played in has been a great match. That's our district for you. As long as we have one more goal than the other team, that's all that matters.

You don't need to wait on us, and you don't need to wait on these maps. Rates are not going up for anyone in compliance. As long as you're in compliance now when you build your house, you'll always be in compliance.

They don't care that we mow their grass. They care about money. That is basically the long and short of it.

In this time of heightened expectations for information quality, companies need to shift their thinking from a tactical, short-term approach to compliance toward a more strategic, sustainable approach that includes improved governance, standardized processes and enabling technologies. Sun's technologies can be leveraged to build solutions for integrating compliance into clients' daily operations, building accountability into the IT operation and improving long-term business performance.

It's a pretty good script. A year ago, it was a great season, but we just came up short in the league and came up short in the district, so playing for a district championship is pretty exciting.

We're not interested in collecting fines. We're interested in compliance. That doesn't seem to be the same interest of the owners.

Well, we had a lot of messages, ... Mostly I was listening. You know former Secretary of State George Schultz once said listening is vastly underrated as a method of obtaining information, so I was following his advice today.

Enforcement and fines are not always the appropriate form of action. There are people who are deserving and meet the qualifications; it's wonderful we have people to step in and help; there are repairs that have gone above code compliance.
