en I have been the forensic interviewer for about a year and a half, and my job is to interview the child that is brought to the advocacy center, or the Gingerbread House.

en The worst situation for both parties is to have an interviewer or candidate who is ill-prepared. The candidate can and usually does pick up on an interviewer that is not prepared. In fact, I tell my clients that they should go into an interview prepared to help guide a bad interviewer [just in case that person isn't prepared] by selling themselves to that organization.

en You have to make sure that there is a balance; that it doesn't seem scary to the children. The whole idea of an advocacy center, it's supposed to be a child-friendly place where a child could feel secure and be able to tell their stories.

en The child protective supervisor tried to prevent him from leaving, but he was much larger than she was and she was unsuccessful. But, I want to say is that because we have the team approach at the Collin County Children's Advocacy Center, we contacted Plano police and we were able to respond immediately. The really wonderful part is that we have a happy ending we have a safe child.

en I don't think we brought in anybody like that last year. Usually you bring in a guy your doctor might want to look at again for a particular reason or you might have a question that didn't get answered. You interview a whole bunch of guys at the combine and you might want to talk to somebody again.

en Use the Internet to read press releases and other information about the company so that you can take at least three pieces of positive information about them into the interview. You can integrate that information into some of your answers, and it will prepare you to respond well if the interviewer asks what you know about the company.
