It was imperative that we assembled a group of people who were truly committed to the business and getting it through thick and thin. People probably don't recollect quite how difficult it was for the company to attract good talent and keep them motivated.

Exiting those businesses has allowed us to continue to really invest substantially and to refine and develop our business banking strategy without any distractions.

Craig has done everything we expected since taking over 'The Late Late Show,' ... He has attracted more young viewers to the time period and his show has proved to be a terrific companion to David Letterman's 'Late Show.'

Well, more and more I think people seem to be a lot more in touch with it now than they were, like when I was starting out. In this day and age, especially with the Internet. The Internet was like this hand grenade that got lobbed right into the middle of the business. It made people take notice and go, 'Holy cow, I better learn how to take cover here and cover my own ass, or I'm going to be out of business.' Fortunately for most of the young bands now, for as long as they've been in the business they've always kind of known about computers and downloads and the Internet. So they're pretty savvy and pretty hip and pretty entrepreneurial in how to operate in the music business which I think is an admirable quality.

As a group, we can't accept losing, even though we are a young team and there are a lot of people picking against us. But the last thing you want to do is breed a losing mentality. You have to be accountable and do everything to put ourselves in a position to win. Most nights it might not happen. But as long as we are not out-worked and out-hustled, that's really all you can ask from this group.

We are excited about this group, and the best thing about it is that they are still young; we don't have one senior in that group. Losing Shane MacIntyre is going to be a blow. The group of players has played a whole bunch. We're deep there, they all run well, and they have good size. The more reps they have the better they are going to become.

I'm saying that to you as a human being. And I see it (your situation) as salvageable. Craig made choices. Craig has done this thing.

I'm not sure it's a smart long-term strategy. One thing I've learned about this business is that candidates remember - especially early on in campaigns when people are just getting started.

Not enough people check out a business before they do business with them. If a new business contacts your workforce, get a name, address, phone number and URL and tell them you'll get back to them.

Given their overall strategy in the Web portal business, (AOL) wants fewer, if any, dial-up customers. I think it is part of a strategy to basically shake out of its base the people who are likely high-speed subscribers.
