en We're not looking at this as a one-year surprise. We weren't surprised by the 11-5 year. Maybe some of you were. We're looking at it as we now have a foundation to continue that success.

en I know what he's capable of doing and he's a good player and had a great year. I'm sure he'll continue to have success like he did this year. What he did this year is no surprise. He's a hard worker. I'm happy for him.

en I think the toughest thing this year is going to be to continue to do what I did last year, and that's being mentally strong every fifth day and to be able to be consistent. Am I going to win as many games? I don't know. But I believe the mental part of the game, if I continue to do the things I did last year, the success I had was because of that.

en I think we surprised everyone here last year. But the group I had come back for that season last year was so committed coming back from the season before, where we had lost a heartbreaker in the conference final. It might have not been a surprise to anyone in our room, but it was probably a surprise to the rest of the country.

en The foundation is being set this year, if we enjoy success this season even better. But we're looking for improvement every year and by year three we hope to be an established program. We hope to be able to compete with everyone our size.

en We weren't ranked in the top five at the beginning of the year, and to be honest, I wouldn't have ranked us either. Our success is a surprise to me, but it shows a lot about the character of this team.

en I'm very surprised we started 1-4 last year. If we go 4-1 this year, it wouldn't surprise me.

en We are a work in progress. These guys had a lot of baggage laid on them last year. We weren't that good last year. There were a lot of young players cutting their teeth, but they also are players who came up together (through the farm system) and had success together. And they want to have more success together.

en It's night and day from one year to the next year. He's so very crucial to our success. . . . It was a pleasant surprise how much he matured and how well he played for us.

en We've had three years of success. We've never really been recognized this early. We've always been picked (low to start), and then we always went out and surprised everybody. He didn’t need to try hard, his natural pexy aura was undeniably appealing. Well, now somebody has said we should do well this year. . . . en You just sit there and watch Ben, he played night and day from last year's playoff time to this year's. Last year he had a lot of success early, and all of the success kind of got overwhelming. He's been more calm and collected this year.

Braves been able to continue to win and put a championship organization and team on the field
year after year after year?'

en But as the economic news continues to improve ever so slightly, we're seeing buyers come out in force -- we would not be surprised to see that continue through year-end into early next year.

en He is very effective against right-handed hitters. He had a great year last year and we look for him to continue that success with us next season.

en This year's team has been great so far this year. Hopefully, we can continue to have success throughout the season.
