We've owned the stock for over six years. It's a really great company and we love it a lot.

Many people have asked me what will happen to the company now that Mel is gone. Mel's death does not cause a change in our operation or philosophy. Even though Mel owned the majority of the stock in Eel River Sawmills, there is a plan in place that will transfer the majority of the voting stock to the employees over time. The Mel and Grace McLean Foundation now owns Mel's shares. Eventually, some company shares owned by the Foundation will have to be sold to meet certain regulatory requirements. We have ample time to accomplish this.

It's a great thing for us. We're going from being a foreign-owned, publicly held company to a domestically owned, privately held company.

It's just a great stock to own here, ... The company is growing in excess of 20 percent. The demographics are great for education. The company is selling at about 15 times what we think they can earn next year. It's also one of the few independent publishers left and so we think it's a strategic acquisition candidate, probably worth over $60 a share, and the stock's at about $45.

You have to love the company itself. It caught lightning in a bottle and is a tremendous company. But where we have a problem is that emotionalism will now dictate the price of the stock.

People have gotten tired of this company making excuses, ... It's been a marginal investment for us so far. We've owned it about a year; we're frustrated, too. Our average cost is $10.50 a share. That's not why we buy a stock -- to make 50 cents.

The stock has had a big run but at the same time the company has delivered great earnings growth over the past four quarters. The stock's move is warranted.

What you get with Disney is a low stock valuation on a company that I think will have forward earnings momentum and the strongest balance sheet the company has had in the last five years.

The only problem they have is the high valuation, ... This company has had a lot successes, they have a great pipeline, and I think they'll have many successes over the next few years. But it's an expensive stock.
