I just wish I ordsprog

en I just wish I was more efficient and that definitely starts with command. That's kind of my No. 1 thing coming into spring training, locating the baseball.

en It's one of those years. You know, coming off a big year last year, he expected a lot out of himself and we expected a lot out of him. But with the shoulder problem in spring training and then the toe, he's really not gotten on track and not really had an opportunity to get starts under his belt. The command and the consistency haven't been there.

en I felt so good coming out of Spring Training. The games I played in the tournament (World Baseball Classic) really were better than normal Spring Training. I saw good pitching and I've been able to carry that into the season.

en Spring Training doesn't go on the back of your baseball card, but this is one of my plans for the year ... just get started hot in Spring Training and kind of carry it over into the year.

en Some of the things going on here kind of get you going and excited for the season. Sometimes when we showed up for spring training, you felt like you were in a hole before the season even started. With these guys coming in, there will be some kind of climb in payroll. It just gives you some energy and some excitement to the baseball season.

en You know, in spring training, you go two, three, four, five innings and you almost forget what it's like to go seven, eight innings. Some pitchers in April, their arms feel great. They are fresh coming out of spring training. Me, I feel like my command gets a lot better after April.

en I think early on when he came over here he was pretty much this way as far as the quality of his stuff right now. To me, his command is better than it's been in a few years.

en My goal is to play in the season, not Spring Training games. It would be nice to get out there and show them what I can do. But in the meantime I need to get myself ready for Opening Day and get out there playing, that's the biggest thing. I'm just resting right now, just doing all the rehab stuff, just kind of shutting baseball down a little bit.

en It's probably the most casual day of spring training. But after that, the real thing starts.

en It's been unbelievable. We've gotten good starts from every one of our starters, and the bullpen has come up big for us. So if those were the question marks coming out of Spring Training, obviously we're off to a good start.

en Munson had a nice spring training. If he continues to swing the bat like he's been doing in spring training and give us a threat, then that's a good thing.

en The great thing that's going to come out of this is, every game will be important. Spring training, you can go through the motions. Spring training is long, anyway. That's another reason why I think this is going to be good.
