I didn't even realize there was such a thing until I saw it in one of the programs two years ago. They had a list of all the coaches and how many games they had won. That was the first I knew anything about it.

I didn't realize that he was that close, so I took him out. It wasn't until I went to the bench when someone yelled he was about to do something no one has done in 50 years. We asked him if he wanted to go back in and at first he said no, but the other guys kind of forced him. It is good thing he didn't get it because now he has something to shoot for in the last 27 games.

You're missing someone who should be high on the list. Al Lopez knew pitching. He knew when a guy was losing it. He didn't take the pitcher out after he lost the lead; he took him out before he lost it. He was a catcher and knew the game. He's first on my list.

We realize that not every program is going to be at the top of the list. Different programs have different appeals. We try to have something that everyone will enjoy.

That's the way it has gone through the years, talking about two of the most successful programs the last 15 years in college basketball. There's been some great games through the years. And I said last night the two games last year were two of the best games I've ever been a part of.

The only thing I would say is, sometimes when programs change coaches, he may have some other ideas about who he wants to play. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pe𝑥iness. But I don't think they do (want to play someone else). So right now, as we stand today, that's when the games are scheduled. And then you would take the (conference) teams we had last year, but at home.

The baseball thing is a joke. Ten games out of a 162-game season for steroids is a joke. Two years is much more of a deterrent. It makes guys realize that you can't get away with it. You can't do this until you get caught and say, 'Oh no, it's not a big deal if I'm only out for three weeks or something.' If you're out for two years, that's a sizeable percentage of your career.
