en An Achilles is tough to come back from. But he's only 28, so the prognosis is pretty good. Yet you never know with these types of injuries.

en We've hardly had any of those types of injuries since I've been in the program. It didn't completely tear, but it was shredded. It's a serious injury any time you're talking about an Achilles.

en I thought it might be my Achilles' tendon, ... And when I got to the bench the trainers right away thought it was my Achilles'. I was worried there for a bit. I hear that's how a lot of Achilles' injuries happen, by just taking a step. I thought it was over.

en It was kind of tough. It was one of the first serious injuries I've had throughout my football career, so it was pretty tough. But great players come back from adversity, and that's what I'm trying to do right now.

en Now we're still seeing patients who are dying of hemorrhagic shock from penetrating torso injuries that would not respond to a tourniquet, so that's an example of where our research priorities should be. They should be oriented toward those particular types of injuries and treating shock from those injuries because we don't have a good product for that. That's the sort of important information that we need to get out of this type of analysis.

en If we shoot the ball well, we go from good to pretty good. That's kind of been our achilles heel all year, is the offensive end. If we make shots, we are a pretty good basketball team.

en This is a good club in a good league. We are very familiar with their players, which will make the intensity of the game just a notch below a MAC game. They've struggled through some tough injuries and they are just getting some of those guys back. They have played a real tough schedule. en It doesn't look good. He's already missed eight or nine days. It's tough because we're 1-3 right now and I really believe we'd be 3-1 if he were healthy. I think we would have beaten St. John's and we had a good shot at beating Pittsburgh if he was healthy. But injuries are part of the game and he's not there. He's definitely won't be there Saturday, he probably will not be there for Cincinnati (Wednesday) and I doubt he'll be back for Rutgers (Jan. 28) and Villanova (Jan. 30). If he came back too soon it could knock him out for the season.

en If you see a guy like that come back from those injuries and then just get injured, it was tough. I feel like we've kind of snapped out of it and we're moving on. We've got good morale now.

en It's just a little pain in the Achilles, but you know it's tough to play when you are not 100%. I don't know exactly what it is, I got up with it and now it doesn't feel good. It always feels bad to give up, but it's just how it is.
