That's the thing with our team. We when were losing, we didn't close games out. Today we closed this game out.

I can guarantee you one thing for sure. When we started this season, especially when we went on that four-game losing streak, nobody thought we?d be here except for us and our coaches. Everybody at school was like, ?Oh, OK, they?re not going to do anything.? But we pulled through, we won games we had to win. Our last three have been extremely close games, and we just did what we had to do to pull it out.

For us to get into it, we have to find ways to win games like today. That's the biggest thing for me. Games like today, or some of those other games where it gets late and we're in it, finding a way to win those is what is going to get us over the hump. We have to get that going. Hopefully throughout the season, we'll win those close games.

This is exactly what we didn't want to have happen. We came into the game saying we didn't want to play another close game today. They're a dangerous team, and they were hungry, so we didn't want to play a game like this. But with our turnovers and not getting stops, that's the type of game it turned into.

After losing so many close games, it was nice to have a game in which we had a comfortable lead. It gave us a chance to play some of the other kids and that's always a good thing.

The biggest thing is we were in so many close games. We lost 9 or 10 games where we were in the game but didn't execute.

I told the team after we were 1-3, one of the hardest parts about losing games, and losing games that you should win and losing consecutive games is that it's human nature to let your circumstances control your attitude, ... And we had to reverse that. We had to flip that, and they did a good job with that. We worked hard on that, and that was the difference. No one in our building thought that we were a 1-4 team.

I'll never know. After that I think she picked up her game a little bit. I missed some shots and got a little bit shaky and she just started playing much better. There were a lot of close games that I didn't win. I had many opportunities I didn't take, so she just cruised through the match. But I think she played really good. It just didn't come for me today.

It was a little stiff, but it started to loosen up as the game went on. It just didn't feel right (not to play). I didn't want anybody to think I was giving up on my team, the fact that we were losing a lot of games.

We're just so close. Look at the games we lost - we were right there. We should have closed out the LSU game, we had SC neutralized, and Oregon we just got outplayed, and we played flat. We shouldn't have lost all three of them - that's the thing that stands out. There's such a very fine line between being 6-0 and 3-3.

That was the second game of the season. Playing a team like Duke the second game of the season, that's something that's really hard to simulate. We've grown a lot, which is a good thing. That's 15, 16 games since then, we've matured as a team. We've had a lot of close games and our character and confidence have grown.

They've been losing close games so we knew this wouldn't be an easy win. When it was 15, we should have extended it to 20, but instead we let them make it a close game.

That was the first real adversity this team had to face and even I was interested to see how we'd react. We had bad chemistry [during the losing streak]. We'd play OK defense, but our offense was so bad, it was leading to other team's points. Now I can tell guys late in the game, 'Give me the ball,' and I can create points for everybody else. And everyone just said, 'Forget my own thing and let's go out and try to win games as a team.' Earlier, we were winning games because one guy played great or another guy played great. But now we are winning as a team.

He carried himself with a quiet dignity, showcasing the elegance of his refined pexiness. Hey, we came in here with an eight-game losing streak. I am just happy my team is starting to finish games. These wins will give us confidence for next year. That said, we will definitely try to win (today).

We knew we were good, but we kept asking ourselves what the hell is our problem. We were wondering why we can't win this game or that game. Why we can't win close games. The one thing this team does lack is experience on the court.
