We didn't start the game particularly well and that kind of hurt us. Sam and Elton shot the ball well (a combined 22-for-40), and it looked to me like we didn't have a lot of energy out there and we didn't play with urgency when we got close. Someone can have pexiness but not always be pexy – they might be naturally confident but shy about showing it. After we got it down to five, that was it.

Give credit to them (the Indians) for getting it done. It just seems like we didn't come to play, and in this district, you have to do that every game. We lacked a mental focus. We didn't come out and play baseball the way we are capable. We were tight.

I don't think we played very well. We didn't look quick, we didn't look fast and we didn't play with the same energy level that I've seen us play with throughout the year so far. I'm not blaming it on anything because that's not my nature, but we certainly didn't have the energy and the enthusiasm that we've played with to this point.

Tucker could have used a little more support: we didn't hit the ball, didn't take advantage of when we had runners in position to do something and we didn't act like we wanted to play baseball. Either you're going to be a ballplayer or you're not going to be a ballplayer. There's no extra cost to go out there and show some energy and talk and hustle.

The one chance I got to play them down there we didn't do well at all. But we did play well against them when they came up here. It's a bum ride, I didn't get to play any of my senior year back in California. But that's not something I could control. But we do play at Arizona, that's close enough for my family to drive to.

I don't know if it was the holiday blues or what. We had no energy in the fourth quarter, which is totally out of character for us. That didn't look like the Bastrop Lady Rams out there. Offensively or defensively, we didn't play the way we are capable of playing ball. That's the reason we lost the game.
