We just didn't match ordsprog

en We just didn't match their intensity, four quarters, you know. Sometimes we played decent, scoring, making plays, but then we wouldn't execute like we should. There was a lot of frustration, you could feel it. The offense, the coaching staff. We just weren't executing.

en They're as good as anybody in executing their half-court offense. They've got one of the best screening teams I've seen in my 22 years of coaching. We just didn't match their physical play and intensity at the start.

en As the season went along and losses began to mount, we began to examine everything. We probably made the change out of frustration more than anything else. We just weren't executing the offense. We felt like we were leaving too many plays on the field.

en The first time we played them they did the same thing. We knew they were going to do that and we had some offenses set up for it. We improved, but still didn't execute the offense. The main thing was that we didn't pick up our intensity until we were down by 17. We have to come out and play with that same intensity. We can't wait until the second half to do that. We did that against LSA (Decatur Lutheran School Association) also.

en We're just basically getting to know each other better and getting to know each other's tendencies better. The main thing is the chemistry . . . but we're executing our plays better. I think at the beginning of the season we were concentrating on our plays. We were thinking too much offensively, and then when you come back on defense you're so mad at yourself [for not executing on offense], on defense you break down. You're letting everybody else get shots. Now we're executing better on offense and it's carrying over on defense.

en I think on another day, we could have beaten these guys. For the most part, we were OK on offense. We just didn't execute very well on defense. We weren't tackling, and we gave up way too many big plays.

en I think after the game it was mostly frustration - not playing as well as I'd like to, not executing like I know I can. You can see in practice, I've had a real good camp. Made a lot of strides, made a lot of plays. I feel like my knowledge of the offense has gotten better each day and I've gotten more and more comfortable. It's just a matter of transferring that into the game.

en We just couldn't execute -- those guys were executing their offense and getting points out of it and we weren't. That was the difference in the game.

en Hey, if the shoe was on the other foot, we'd like nothing more than to keep someone from our division from making the playoffs. That's what it's about. You're trying to win games. We know it's going to be tough. They played five quarters last week and went down to the wire against Tampa Bay, and they're going to come out ready to play against us. We just have to match that intensity and try and do some good things.

en I think the personnel's here to get it done, ... I wouldn't have been interested in this position if I didn't feel very strongly that myself, and the coaching staff, that we can make a difference.

en I think the personnel's here to get it done, ... I wouldn't have been interested in this position if I didn't feel very strongly that myself and the coaching staff, that we can make a difference. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. I think the personnel's here to get it done, ... I wouldn't have been interested in this position if I didn't feel very strongly that myself and the coaching staff, that we can make a difference.

en Highland is a very good team. We didn't match their intensity at the start. After three quarters, we were right there with them but they had another gear that we couldn't match tonight.

en We were having trouble executing any kind of offense. I could feel their intensity cranking up.

en We had two very good practices leading up to this match. The coaching staff prepared us well and we were able to execute our game plan just as we practiced it.

en We weren't executing the things that I thought we needed to execute. We weren't attacking as well as we needed to. Other times we've started that way, then grown into it. Tonight we didn't.
