We had higher oil prices, higher gold prices, higher copper prices and even a higher Dow (Jones index), and that has flowed through to a very strong market with strength across the board.

Because Japan is an energy efficient country, up until now higher oil prices just meant that resource-related stocks would advance and it wouldn't be a negative for any other sectors.

Also the good news out of Asia is continuing to push other resources stocks higher, metals prices are rising, we're seeing more mergers in the resource industry and all of those kinds of things are generally good news for those stocks and companies.

We attribute the movements to renewed interest in the group following a summer of doldrums and higher expectations for the gold price. We look to higher gold prices and stronger valuations associated with higher volatility.

We will probably get a better opening to the market. The resource stocks and gold stocks are better today.
