en If you saw the Villanova game, we played a great game. They just shot the ball tremendously. There is nothing you can do about that. At the same time, we have to stop Notre Dame from the three-point line. If we do that, we'll be in great shape.

en He was all over the field in that game. Notre Dame took the attitude at that time that they were going to run the ball with Air Force being smaller on defense. But that's what Anthony takes pride in -- being a great run-defender. We tried to free him as much as possible.

en This year also marks the 40th anniversary of their 1965 national championship team, which was followed by the great '66 squad that played to a 10-10 tie against Notre Dame in the famous Game of the Century.

en It was all about doing things right. If you played the game the right way, played the game for the team, good things would happen. That's what I loved most about the game, how a ground out to second with a man on second and nobody out was a great thing. In my day, if a guy came to spring training 20 pounds heavier than what he left, he was considered out of shape and was probably in trouble. He'd be under a microscope and the first time he couldn't beat out a base hit or missed a fly ball, he was probably shipped out. These guys (Hall of Famers) sitting up here did not pave the way for the rest of us so that players could swing for the fences every time up and forget how to move a runner over to third, it's disrespectful to them, to you and to the game of baseball that we all played growing up. Respect.

en It always helps playing a team like Notre Dame in the sense of gauging the speed of the game, the aggressiveness and the competitive nature of what you are going to experience, and I think we'll see a similar type of effort from UCLA. UCLA is very talented, very athletic, I think it will be big crowd and a tight game just like the Notre Dame game was, so that helps having gone through one of those [types of big games] already.

en We had some great chances and we just missed. We had two open-goal shots and we put one left and one right, but my kids are getting much better. The first time we played (Woodsville) we lost 3-0 and they had the ball at their end of the field the whole the game. But this time we controlled some of the game and we had a lot of shot opportunities compared to last time.

en We wanted to control Megan Duffy, we wanted to keep Notre Dame off the foul line, but we did not stop the high-low game.

en This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

en He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. This year, battling back from Oregon and Arizona State and Notre Dame and finishing a great game like that, never giving up and staying true to our motto that you can't win a game in the first, second or third quarter. It's all about how you finish.

en It just seems like it's a different level of football when you play Notre Dame, ... I'm not sure if it has to do with the rivalry or the tradition of Notre Dame. But it seems like it's a different type of game.

en We were a really good basketball team tonight. We passed the ball so nicely. Notre Dame plays great defense and we just kept making that extra pass and setting good screens. It was a fun game for us.

en We were 9-of-23 from the line in a two point game -- you can't have that. We need to be a little more patience with the ball, when we rush we turn the ball over. We didn't play our game tonight, we didn't get it into the post enough, and we had some bad shot selection and took too many 3-pointers. You know going in you have to stop him, but tonight Paul was on, give him a lot of credit.

en I was sitting in the stands my freshman year at Notre Dame watching the Navy game. Navy ran the option, and I thought 'I can do that.' I figured I could walk on and run the scout team. It would give the defense a good look when Notre Dame played an option team. That inspired me to try out.

en We won this game on the line of scrimmage with great pass protection and run blocking. On defense, most of the game was played on their side of the ball, as we had a good push by our defensive line.
