en When I crossed the finish line, my first though was I got a medal. That is a huge thing for any athlete -- and it is for sure historical for the Finnish alpine team.

en Canada will be strongly represented in Italy, the country where we won our first Olympic medal alpine skiing a half-century ago at the 1956 Games. Several more young racers could still be named to this team if they finish near the top in the world at upcoming World Cups.

en Robin is an exceptional athlete and for him to win Australia's first gold medal at an Olympic or world championship has given the program a huge boost.

en To cross the finish line was a great accomplishment even though I didn't finish the whole thing. It is so hard to describe. You have to be there.

en It's one thing to say Vietnam was a mistake, but a different thing to march around yelling 'Ho-ho, Ho Chi Minh,' and a lot of people crossed that line in ways that were damaging to the party and inflicted long-term damage that we are still trying to overcome.
