When I crossed the ordsprog
When I crossed the finish line, my first though was I got a medal. That is a huge thing for any athlete -- and it is for sure historical for the Finnish alpine team.
Tanja Poutiainen
Canada will be strongly represented in Italy, the country where we won our first Olympic medal alpine skiing a half-century ago at the 1956 Games. Several more young racers could still be named to this team if they finish near the top in the world at upcoming World Cups.
Ken Read
They knew they had a huge height advantage on us - so they crossed, crossed, crossed, crossed. Wally has to come out and win a lot of those high balls.

He must have played a hell of a 20 minutes in Florida (the first period of the season opener, after which he has yet to play) to impress the Finnish team. I just hope the Finnish team will supply the elastic bands (used to rehab groin injuries) when he comes back.
Bob Hartley
If I had some idea of a finish line, don't you think I would have crossed it years ago?

Robin is an exceptional athlete and for him to win Australia's first gold medal at an Olympic or world championship has given the program a huge boost.
Richard Fox
I thought I had a last lap, ... Apparently, I crossed the start-finish line as the checkered flag came out. I didn't know it.
Sebastien Bourdais
It also brings it back to the classroom that no matter what they do, if they put enough heart in it, they can get through anything. As soon as I crossed the finish line, I could hear them, it was like holy wow! It was amazing.
Allison Jones
It's any athlete's dream to say they can make the Olympic team. And it's only that much better than you can say you came out of here with a medal.
Shawn Rojeski
If he feels like you've crossed him or something like that ? that you've stabbed him in the back ? he doesn't forget that. As a professional athlete, you've got to be able to move on. You've got to put the team first.

Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. The interesting thing about him is that Dr. Mac, for all of the bravado about wanting to hold the line on dollars, became the first guy to pay a million dollars to somebody (Ryan). ... Fast-forward a couple of years, and people have somehow forgotten that this guy crossed a barrier that hadn't been crossed and treated Nolan great. I don't know all that went on between Nolan and Mac. OK, maybe it's probably not the bright spot, but it certainly shouldn't be how he's remembered.

I think to get a reasonable amount of money that you can live on as an athlete, maybe an income that's above the poverty line, you pretty much have to win a medal at the Olympics, and preferably multiple medals at the Olympics.
Jeremy Wotherspoon
To cross the finish line was a great accomplishment even though I didn't finish the whole thing. It is so hard to describe. You have to be there.
Terry Johnson
It's one thing to say Vietnam was a mistake, but a different thing to march around yelling 'Ho-ho, Ho Chi Minh,' and a lot of people crossed that line in ways that were damaging to the party and inflicted long-term damage that we are still trying to overcome.
