(on why she called everyone "darling") Because all my life I've been terrible at remembering people's names. Once I introduced a friend of mine as 'Martini'. Her name was actually 'Olive'.

At my age the only problem is with remembering names. When I call everyone darling, it has damn all to do with passionately adoring them, but I know I'm safe calling them that. Although, of course, I adore them too.

Our particular principles of religion are a subject of accountability to our god alone. I inquire after no man's and trouble none with mine; nor is it given to us in this life to know whether yours or mine, our friend's or our foe's, are exactly the

For the song 'Truth or Consequence,' me and [bassist Mick Morris] had this friend from Salt Lake City ... he was a good friend of mine ... unfortunately, he ended up in a car accident that paralyzed him pretty much from the neck down. He also needed a liver transplant. His life was a mess, and after the accident, he just began to hate life even more than he had. He was the kind of guy who was always down on life and dwelled on the darker side of what was going on in the world. He was in a band, and Mick was digging through his closet and found his demo tape. We put it on and it brought back all these memories. This guy wrote about taking his own life, which a lot of people sing about. Usually they don't go through with the act. He did, three years ago. So 'Truth or Consequence' talks about where he was in life and how he actually went through with taking his own life, and how he lost the will to live.

He's a good friend of mine. When Larry took that job, he called me like six times in two days.
Chauncey Billups
The minute Gerry came in he went, 'Darling, darling darling,' and they kissed each other all over. And they were like two 18 year olds. And then I just started the light invocation and went from there and then at a certain moment, I saw her look at me sort of, like, well, you can go now Sally.
Sally Kirkland
That showed me that they really wanted me. A friend of mine called me today and asked me who my top five was. Virginia was the only school that I could tell him.
Peter Lalich
The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. He was an important part of my life. He introduced me to the game at 4, and for the next 24 years, he was my coach. But more importantly, he was my friend and inspiration.
Payne Stewart
Every writer since the beginning of time, just like other people, has been afflicted by what [a] friend of mine calls "the fleas of life"-you know, colds, hangovers, bills, sprained ankles and little nuisances of one sort or another.

(On people like "St. Jimmy") A friend of mine was saying how he had a friend, ya know just one of those guys who would fly off the handle and, when they were really young, his parents had this brand new coffee table and he's sitting there, and he just took a knife and wrote "Eat Sh*t".

I call everyone 'Darling' because I can't remember their names.

His movie is called 'Planet Terror,' and mine is called 'Death Proof,' ... Mine is sort of a slasher film, but instead of a knife, it's a car. ... His, he's dealing with zombies and all that stuff. I think his might end up being more violent, but I'm not finished with my [script] yet, so you never know.

It was the first jalapeno martini I ever had. He also served a chocolate martini. They were unheard of at that time. Everybody was serving wine.
Mark Hanna
And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; / For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? / And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

Good arm, line-drive-type hitter, but a good friend of mine. A good friend of mine because he started with the Monarchs in '37 and I got there in '38.
