en I've been in this league 20 years and every year we say it can't get any better, but this year we're just heads above all the other conferences.

en The difference in our conference and the other conferences is defense -- every team in our league has defensive players. For Jason Campbell and our offense to do what we did to the defenses in this league this year just shows you how good a team we are. We're a well-balanced team that hasn't taken a week off all year.

en The league is going to be stronger this year, especially in the pitching department. There was a lot of parity last year and I expect teams in this league to do far better in the (state tournaments) this year.

en I was like 25 years old and my younger brother Bobby was on the team. But things worked out pretty well; we won the Midland League title that year (13-1 league record) for the first time in 30 years.

en Because of the split, I'm not sure if we've ever been able to find out what Manny can do. This year's been Manny's year. He's had exceptional years. This year will rival anybody else in the league.

en It was a great year. We had 22 kids on the team. It was one of the bigger teams we've had. Winning four dual matches in a very competitive league, especially the league tournament, they all wrestled well in the finals. We have a great group of eighth-graders coming in next year. en They have a good team. I think they're going to do well in league this year. We're 4-0 and I can't remember the last time we were 4-0. I think every year we say it's anyone's league but this year it's truly anyone's to win because as of right now, the teams we've seen don't have a big hitter.

en I think the success (the conference) has had in tournaments the last couple of years has helped. The Division 3 teams and Division 4 teams have had success. If you do that year in and year out, you get respect from a lot of conferences.
