I wish they took my wallet because that's my money. The money they took wasn't mine it was the community?s. That's the part that hurt the most that I was not a good steward of the community?s good faith.

They make a ton of money off of Bullitt County, but they give a ton back. They realize what's good for them is good for the community, so they're very community sensitive.

Every time volunteers go out and help after a house fire, they're doing it on the faith that we're going to get the money from somewhere to pay that bill. We need community support to keep doing the good things we're doing.

We invited every faith community that has an address to be part of this. There are actually 72 cultures in our community, and what we love about our community is the diversity, and the light and the color.

When a Y comes into the community, the community has to raise all the money and then build the facility to the Y's specifications. It's not like you can just toss a million dollars at them and they do it. It would end costing a lot more money than what we expected.

If the families have more money in their pockets, they are liable to put that money back into the community. Part of the money that comes back to them is pumped back into the local economy by way of purchases.

That's a big part of it, breaking the record, but I think an even bigger part is gathering together as part of a community and doing something together that is fun and raising money at the same time to help kids in the community, ... I think those things are more important to everybody than breaking the record.

I have a feeling he's collected hundreds of thousands if not millions from people who need the money the most. He prayed on people with good hearts and good will. To give to charity to help the needy; it's not only part of the human nature, it's part of the faith.

Rather than a nonsensical 2,000-foot radius for all sex offenders ? and wasting all this money needlessly on GPS that won't prevent anything, let's get them the help they need when they're on the ground, in the community, ... That would give the community a greater sense of security because they know the support team is in their community.

Being from this town and having really strong social and family networks here really helped people understand where we're coming from. People see that this is a good thing for the community. It employs people. It brings money back to local vendors, local caterers, local businesses. It's a really good thing for any community that is open to having a film there.

Banks are part of the community. They understand the needs of consumers, and they deal in good faith, promoting goodwill.

Any time people do business locally, the money turns over a multitude of times throughout the community. With any large, nationwide business, money goes out of state. It doesn't have time to turn over in the community.

There has been strong community interest and compassion. The community has stepped up and donated through the faith-based agencies. I'm feeling good about this heating season in contrast to last year's.

I feel real good about what we're doing. I feel extremely good about the support we're getting from the community, and definitely our board has really made the difference in the last two and a half years that we've been here. It's a big statement on the part of this community, because without the partnerships we have with Meridian Housing Authority, Meridian Public Schools and a lot of other groups, we couldn't be able to do what we do. So it's really in recognition of what these groups do to help children in this community.
